Derek is the nom de plume I use whenever doing anything dodgy on the Internet. It is a misspelling of one of my friends' names who is also known as the 'red couch monster'. A few years back, after not seeing each other for years, he calls me and says 'hey, I am at the airport ! Can you pick me up?'
Then he stays in our house and eats our food for 6 weeks, despite numerous fairly unsubtle hints he should get his own place. So Derek is my petty form of revenge for that. I did misspell it so he doesn't get in trouble for belonging to Russian classical music torrent sites.

birdyville is in honor of the masot for our favorite vacation spot nemacolin Woodlands Resort, where my husbands company sends us every year for a business conference and THEY PAY
Hence in BIRDYVILLE i can buy anything or do anything without it costing any money.....reminds me of my favorite spot to be and a signed numbered brass statue of their mascot was given to us this year, after going for 26 years, and hubby finally retires for real this year...maybe only a day a week of work to stay outta my hair....
So we now have birdyville.....
Our dream come true town

When my husband and I started dating (25 years ago) we were watching a stand up comidian. She said all men were scum buckets and my husband turned to me and said well your a love puppet. (I often wonder how my husbands mind works). Anyway he would call me love puppet in front of friend and I know go by a variety of names from pup to pupper to "the love puppet". So where else would a love puppet live but in puppetville.

I came up with my towns name because when I first started playing I was really into Merlin. If I were to ever change my town name it would definitely have to be something that would show how much of a Whovian I am lol

Cataldoville comes from Lucille Cataldo, "cult" singer from Stairway to Stardom (80's talent show from New York's public-access TV). Although I laughed so hard the first time I heard her song Haidresser, I ended up really liking it (in a strange/funny way) and it finally became a classic Youtube karaoke hit for me and one of my friends.

Theres a wealthy area called Upper St. Clair about 20 minutes from where me and my friends grew up from and that place was Crafton which is a regualr blue collar town, so we lived in the upper part of it, so we decided to add the Upper St. to Crafton and weve been calling it that ever since

My fiance and I used to call our dog "girl," and it eventually evolved into "Gur." So Gur is one of her many nicknames now, and it just seemed to fit for the name of my town.

My town is called Suitland.for a couple of reasons. First there is a real-life Suitland, located east of Washington DC. Second it was founded by my great great great something grandfather Samuel Taylor Suit. Finally it happens to be my last name.

My city is Raven Crest - reason not to original I just love ravens - live way up north - they are smart, talkative and fun - 1. In Whitehorse they have learned how to sit on street lights - they droop their wings over it to make it dark and the light comes on and warms them up when it minus 30-40! 2. I've seen them play with dogs, cats and deer! They swooped down at the deer and the deer actually reared up to "slash" at them! Did it several times. Don't think the deer thought it was playing 3. Saw a domestic cat and three rw end play on street for 1/2 hr. the ravens had the cat in the middle and when the cat would charge them they would just glide over the cat - never tried to hurt it - I'm positive they were both having fun Anyway - I love ravens therefore Raven Crest Would love to hear your stories- Interesting FYI: The Raven is a migratory bird. This makes it illegal to pretty much do anything with the bird (dead or alive) except look at it. If you want to take pictures, film, do any type of information gathering you need permission from the US Fish and Wildlife Service. I didn't make the law, just thought you might find this interesting. Why did I pick the name Hoopers Creek? My family helped settle much of this area. We go back a long time on this spot.

My town is named after the street I live on! I started playing the game a few months after moving into the house that was once my mother-in-laws home. I was so happy to be back in my old "hood"! So I named my town after it (Cheshire).
And my second town (on my iPhone) I named North Pole because I am obsessed with Christmas!

I started playing after Christmas and had just watched a production of the Nutcracker so Marzipan was kind of stuck in my head. It sounded better than Sugarplum Faries. I named my lake getaway Drosselmeyer Lake. I'll have to think of something suitable for the beach one.
