I recently moved to Green Valley Ranch which is a suburb of Denver, CO, it's out by the airport and pretty far out for people....my sister started calling it shireville when she'd come over and her and I now have running jokes about having sintars with flutes, fairies and other ridiculous stuff in my neighborhood (my favorite, it doesn't snow in shireville, its actually glitter..LOL)...we now have all our friends calling it The Shire.. Anyway, that's my story!! Perhaps Booyah will release some special stuff when The Hobbit is released. That would make your Shire perfect! A few Bilbos kicking about, maybe Dark Lord here and there... the possibilities are endless! I'd love that - anything lord of the rings would be great for me! Imagine a fairy!!! The would suit our RH - BBF - !!!! Wouldn't that be cool! He could live in our towns:) I'll be over to The Shire to visit soon ! Raven 29067906

I'm after some new stories! Like a story from Whirligiggyville!?!?!? how is it spelled? And some of the other towns have intriguing names as well ! So thought I would post to bring this thread back to the surface! Raven 29067906 Wow! I didn’t know “whirligigville” would get so much attention! Well, I hope I have an interesting enough story to tell you… It comes from my sister. We are both from Taiwan and she learned the word “whirligig” from the book “The most important English vocabulary you need to learn to prepare an English test.” She used this word to describe a toy we played with when we were young. All her American friends just looked at her and said “what?” Everyone laughed after they figured out what “it” is and always make jokes about it. ;D Anyway, one of the translations of “whirligig” in Chinese is the toy top. Isn't a 'whirligig also a line for drying clothes on? I think that is what we call them in England and used to call it when I lived in Vancouver. In Vancouver you were not allowed to have a conventional washing line going along the length of you yard to dry your clothes on. Certain by-laws say it doesn't look nice lol and so was created a line on a long pole you push into the ground and it has like a canopy of lines on it. Aslo useful if you have a small yard. It keeps all the washing in one place, neat and tidy :s

LOL, sorry I have to confess I know NOTHING about football ( and the avatar is so small I can't read any letters/words) other than to be clever enough to have had several TV's when I was married You'll just have to tell me... Now if it was Rugby League I'd have a bit more idea And Oiii I've lived in Manc and I am just down the road so watch it... North/North devide now.... Or will it be the War of the Roses lol.

Oh, thanks for resurrecting this thread. The question of my name came up on another thread but I will post it again here. bleeping slootie = sleeping beauty. Someone special to me used to call me Sleeping Beauty and when my oldest child was very young, he tried the name out and "bleeping slootie" was the result. The name stuck ... Haha, I read your other thread, did make me laugh

My wonderful husband of 43 years has always called me Bear, people think that it is a short form of our last name, so everyone calls me Bear. The real reason for the nickname is when we were first married my husband thought when I woke up in the morning I reminded him of a bear coming out of hibernation, kind of dopey and slow to get going.

Growing up, for some reason my younger brother could not say my name "Renee" so he would call me "Nay"
I worked many years in a preschool and the little ones also could not say my name. So again I was known as "Miss Nay" to them.
I have been going by Nay for ages! My son who got me started with MT2 added the "ville"

My town name is simple. "Why?" you might ask. Well the answer is simple. I am a simpleton. My last name is Ryan and 8590 is the answer I gave to my cousin when I wasn't paying attention to her question and I was pretending to answer it sincerely. So Ryan8590 was already my gc name and by default booyah made that my town name. Pretty simple huh? Although I have been thinking about changing it to littleking because that is what my last name means in Irish. So if I do I will update my info on the board.
Game Center: LittleKing8590 and Ryan8590
My Town 2: Ryan8590 ID - 43212470 and Ryanville ID - 37235764
