I finally saved up enough for the juice press, but now I'm wondering if its worth it. Is there a big demand for juice? I almost never see any for sale anywhere.

Thanks for your continuing help, Zelda.
I've spent real money to get my mine and a smelter which I can't use till level 25. Should I go for a cake oven or another smelter?

No prob Judy! Congrats on mine and smelter. The cake oven and additional smelter both have their own advantages. For the smelter once you start making the bars they are not so valuable price wise versus the time to make, however you will start to get orders on your board for the bars from your smelter which are for coins, xp, and vouchers. Which is really cool since I like the pets. And the cake oven is good because cakes are high demand and you'll start to see them in your cargo boat orders (even if you haven't bought oven yet, for me the orders on boat still came in). I got the cake oven first. I guess it depends what you want more vouchers or coins/ filling boat orders.

Oh and since you'll be using the mine soon hang on to your shovels, TNT, and dynamite. You'll need them to excavate the ore.

Thanks, Zelda. I'm already producing ore, thanks to your previous advice about shovels and TNT. I used Tom, still free, to get more TNT. Had to stop due to less barn room.
I was getting ahead with duct tape so sold 2. You snapped up 1. I got tired of hitting the coin plus so did not get the max price.
Looking at your info, I'll go for the cake machine and wait to do another smelter.
Boat number 6 is about full. Had wheat, corn and apples this time. Earned a speed prize while growing the wheat.

I know it seems like the barn is always a problem for me. Oh and for the coin plus I'm not sure if you might be doing what I did. But just in case I'll share. I was getting tired of clicking to increase price. Then I accidentally discovered if you press and hold the plus button it increases price without all the clicks. (Wish I had known that before finger was getting tired of the clicking).

(Wish I had known that before finger was getting tired of the clicking). Thanks so much! I hadn't discovered this trick. My new boat again wants carrot juice if you can make it. I think the juicer is far in the future. I bought 2 white sweaters from you, but they didn't show up. I wrote yesterday about some milk I didn't get. Have you had this problem?

Last cargo boat was crazy! I've never seen it ask for all three items needed to be the same. I will definetly work on cranking you out some carrot juice. I have two cherry juices already in the queue but will start carrot next. I haven't had the issue with the items not showing up I purchased but I have heard others advise its happened to them. Since you wrote them hopefully they will make it right.

Thanks for reviving my tree Judy! After I posted I went to see how much time you had for carrot juice but it looks like you got new cargo ship. I hope someone else filled it for you and not that time ran out.

Well, I've had a good Hay Day and have revised my strategy. It makes more sense to sell in the market than completing the crazy truck orders. I don't sell to neighbors unless it's easy to replenish, such as wheat, corn or eggs.
This morning, they offered 20% off of the $100 set of diamonds. I think I spent $60 yesterday, so I decided to do it. I had lots of fun forcing cakes to bake quickly and selling them at max prices. Of course, I cannot keep this up forever.
Tom was free when the day started but then said he would cost to continue. I spent 100 diamonds for 10 days.
I'm enjoying the help I get with my boat orders, even from total strangers. Sometimes, I help others even when I spend more to help than I get back. I am learning to enjoy visiting other farms and revitalizing trees and fruit plants. So far, I have not found a limit. I think I did 16 at one farm.
Even though selling in the market does not earn XP, growing the crops does and neither my barn nor my silo have needed to be upgraded today.
I don't hesitate to spend a diamond to advertise. I am learning to list a much wanted item in the ad which brings buyers to my farm. Pretty soon, everything is sold.
I also spent money today to get 12,000 more for the juicer. Like the cake baker, it makes valuable items to sell. I am disgusted with how long it takes to smelt a metal bar and how little they bring. Later, when I don't have anything better to do, I will get 4 more smelters so the production will be worth it. Meanwhile, selling some dynamite or TNT is a good way to being buyers in.
I barely have interest in going to my Big Farm Theory, but feel somewhat obligated to friends and to keep the place looking decent. If the game starts giving me quests again, my interest may resume.
I was disappointed that SF lost the Super Bowl, but enjoyed watching it at my son's home, using his wifi with Hay Day. He has a newborn and an 18 month old. I have a slight cold, so wore a mask and did not pick up the children.

The young girl neighbor just offered me 176 for 9 milk. Instead, I listed it in the market for the max 291 and it sold in less than a minute. I have often bought milk and today upped my cows.

You are welcome. Part of the fun of this game is helping others so I am glad to help. And appreciate the help I've received too. ;D I do the same as you, where I might spend more to help than what the cargo boat pays but I know some orders are just plain hard to get out and its always such a pleasant surprise to see someone has loaded a box.
I follow your strategy as well. The roadside shop is far more profitable than the board or walk up neighbors. And with the cost of the production machines it seems coins are always priority for me. The only time I really utilize the board is for the metal bars or if I want xp to get to next level.
You'll find with the cake maker and juicer the goods will always sell at top dollar. I usually like to discount my goods but with the cakes and juices to make a profit considering the value of the berries if sold alone I usually sell at max price. You've probably already noticed they both fly off the shelves.
If you get where you are low on coins and need to make coins quickly the red berry cake is actually the most profitable of all the cakes. Based on the value of the ingredients if sold at the roadside shop and time to make. And for juices I think carrot is most profitable for same reasons. Although I do enjoy making them all, when I am need of coins I crank those out.
I just hired Tom too. So far I have been having him get me the metal bars.
Hope you feel better!

It really is helpful to see what strategies you all are using. I too just realized that it makes more money to sell most things out of the roadside stand rather than filling truck orders all the time. I still fill the ones for metal bars, and the ones for fast growing crops though. Probably the most frustrating thing is finding the parts to update the barn. Who knew duct tape was so rare?
