I have some expansion items if anyone is interested. If you're interested please let me know; otherwise, I'll put them up in my stand.

Leilani, OMG, look at the boat order you took. 6 crates of goat cheese (3 per crate). We used not to make many of the goat cheese since we have less use for it, instead we concentrate on cheese, butter, and cream. It is the hardest item to find in the newspaper and the game is programmed the newspaper ads don't have or show very few items currently required in your boat order. When your boat is gone, they pops up in the ads again. It makes fact of life more acute: You don't find what you are looking for but instead the one you are not. At home if I misplace something, I stop looking for it and tell myself that it will show up later when I am looking for something else. Haha, it works most of the time.

I as trying to help and made some for you (also tried to find them in the ads), then accidently made a cake that used it. Dang it, back to 2 (number 3 goat cheese now becomes number 2).

Thank you Tonia. I used Tom to get some too, that order was just awful. My first thought was to send it away & then I thought "I can make those....." Then I fell asleep and when I woke up I realized I'd never get them done without help, but I had already filled some of the other crates. Thankfully my friends were able to bail me out again. That's what I get for going into the game at 2 in the morning when I should have really been trying to fall back to sleep.
You are right about the newspaper. It makes me crazy. As you say, the best way to find something is to stop looking for it and start looking for something else.

Having a large barn helps with the ads. Then, you can stock up on what you don't need now for use on future orders or filling someone else's crate. I have stopped upgrading my barn at 675. I'm sending from 20 to 30 boats a day with a lot of help from many of you. JoRule deserves special mention here. Her barn is over 1,000 and she has over 200 friends. She lets her boats come in on their own and is usually ready when they arrive. If she is not busy with her 6 kids, she asks me what I need, sometimes supplying more than half of a boat I would otherwise send away.
I declined a 15% discount a few days ago and will see if they offer another before my supply of diamonds runs out. I am trying to limit myself to 200 a day, mostly to bring in boats right away and casting many off. I am currently at position 42 on the global leaderboard. Number 43 is close behind, and there are some further back moving up fairly rapidly.
In addition to spending diamonds to bring boats in, I do not hesitate to advertise when I put produce up for sale. My theory is that someone needs it, but they don't know I have it and cannot find my farm unless I advertise. I hate having my stand clogged up with unsold items. Because I buy so much for boats, I sell at close to the max. People who need items will pay for them. I need the cash for what I buy. Since I started planting extra soybeans and sugar cane (learning from Kech), my cash balance is creeping up.
I never expected to get this far. The farm just ahead of me has 1600 followers. I have over 300. Several drop out and others add themselves. I try to get through them once a day. It used to be twice, but it takes over an hour. I am learning which ones to skip. Some are not playing or, like me, often have nothing in their stands. Deleting them is not worth the effort, because navigating to where the bulk of them are is tedious.
Navigating my follower list is challenging when I have to interrupt to buy from Jo or someone else. My place in the follower list is lost. I try to remember a couple of names to help me get back to where I was. Often, I scroll all the way to the end and work back to the middle.
I think the number of Likes for my farm has gone over 1,000. There is no doubt that the global board brings exposure that would not happen otherwise. The most player visits in a day is almost 2800. Who are all these people?
HayDay continues to be my favorite game, but I have been enjoying DragonVale and The Big Farm Theory since their recent updates.

Hmm, I check your stand often but it is mostly empty all the time. I don't even see a single sugarcane or soybean. May be your followers snatched them right away. I pay attention to my friend list rather follower list unless they are in "exclamation mark" need help list. Also thanks to Kech, I sell s & s and was able to purchase many expensive machines. Cheers!

I noticed this morning I was setting up my stand with items I don't advertise and before I could get to the last item that I was going to advertise someone started buying things. Not really sure how they found me unless it was someone that I had recently helped lurking on my farm at the right time. It's amazing since I finished my expansion I'm getting expansion materials from tasks on my farm. I had to stop myself the other day when I came across stakes in someone's stand. Unless they're selling them cheap or someone here says they are looking for expansion materials, I'm not going to buy anymore. On that note, I'll probably end up putting what I have in my stand tomorrow night if no one here wants them. I try to check KIK twice a day, once in the morning and once at night if anyone needs anything.
I need some opinions on what to buy next. I haven't bought the jelly maker yet because I've been holding out for the jewelry maker. Still have no idea why I want that so badly, must be my love for jewelry. I'm don't how much it is, but I think I should be close to having enough money by the time I level up to get it. Is this a good idea or should I just buy the jelly maker now?
I think I'm going to go back to ignoring the boat for now and Tom will most likely get his pink slip once I run out of gems. This month's dining/entertainment funds have been reallocated to charitable giving in my budget so Tom is going to have to take a furlough.

I really like the jewelry maker, even though it takes forever to get shovels, dig ore, make metal bars, and then finally make jewelry. When I hire the boy, I usually end up using him for shovels! I like seeing those diamonds pop out of the mine I got the jam machine first though, because the boats ask for jam, and because friends need it so often.

Thanks. I've been making bars and saving them, so I have a nice little stash for now. I had been sending them in truck orders until I realized how bad a move that was for what I was getting for them.

Yes, you do have to make a new account. This account stays here unless you deactivate it. No, it isn't transferable, and this site is still open, just not used much. Anyway, we have another Hay Day! thread on the other forum.

Do I have to make new ID and register? What happens to this ID and membership? Transferable? and this site is closed? Actually there is an option now to create a global login. "This system allows you to access all of your ProBoards accounts with a single login. It helps you keep track of all forums you are a member of and even provides you information about each forum, such as how many users are online and information about any messages waiting for you. Please note that this is a beta service. As such, from time to time, this service may become unavailable." See below link. www.proboards.com/forum-global-login/login

Found the problem. Using IE (windows 8) didn't let me complete the registration process. I had to use Firefox and it went through to page "prove it your are human".
