Ring Master: Derek Business: Who says Elephants Can't Dance Franchise from: Newzealander ID35122953 Derekville ID39410774 Raven Crest ID29067906 (cupcake skin)
Do Not do checkins or multiple franchises until given the thumbs up!
So here is a superbusiness plan I think will work. First some stats. RHOS has only declined from 3.6 to 3.4k. My friend's business has declined from 2.1 to 990. I think this is because people actually own and check in to RHOS. So to make a superbusiness, we need an army of tappers to maintain pop. Getting pop up is no prob, fast and easy, but keeping it up needs tappers.
But let's face it, most mt players think adding megamalls is the way to make money, never mind figuring out location shifting.
I think this could recruit some tappers. First a business with zero pop and a catchy name, so anyone can buy it. Then, hijack the Facebook site with posts referring to the business and how many franchises were received when it was bought. Then, after a week or so, when enough people have bought it, the pop can be upped.
Sound sneaky enough?

I'm happy to tap. Gives me something to do on my daily commute. Are we waiting for a go signal? Not sure I want to volunteer for the facebook page part. My profile is too obvious on there already.

Hi Sni! It sounds like it might work, right? What is the pop on your dancing elephant business?
I think checkins are the fastest way to increase pop. Jobs and franchises seem to be about half as effective.
I see Walter has already crossed the 1000 mark.

I am useless at this strategy stuff. Someone just tell me what to do, and I will do it. My thoughts are that if everyone who buys it throws a few check-ins at it every day, we can make it a 50 buck business?
Does that sound ok?
(Raven, I saw those lightening bolts, and knew they were a sign of your excitement at having an official place to worship Walter!)

I'm down with the super business. I tried my own but only got a few franchises and forgot to check in everyday. So lets do this. Not sure about the Facebook part but I'll give it a go too!
I think it started raining at the beach today. There was lightning and the birds were flying inland.
Let's pick one and start this is a great experiment.
Did I miss the business pick already?

I'm keen to do it for Walter's clubhouse, but that's just selfish - I've started there anyway. It's up around 900 in my town now, but I am about to re franchise it from you, Duke. Thanks Sni. We adore you too - I've never known a nicer trouble-maker Edit: 1036 popularity when I franchised from Duke.

I really like the elephant one, but I will bow to majority opinion... I think it is much cooler than Walmart or Starbucks anyway. I think we really need Sardi's help though, on who are the biggest loudmouths on the Facebook site. And we need someone to volunteer their town, put the business at the top and surround it with xmas trees. I would do it but am kinda lazy.
Oh and the boy didn't like his adventure today. That southerly was cold! But I gotta cook dinner.

Hey, I'll go with dancing elephants. It'll remind me of my husband's aunt every time I check in I'm off to grab it from Sni's, but I will still check in with Walter once in a while too So it's Operation Dumbo-in-a-tutu?? Edit: We are talking about "Who Said Elephants Can't Dance", right?? I am putting it top centre!!

Derek - you be the ring leader - I'll follow your direction.
Kiwi - I don't think it'd be selfish to do Walter (that sounds wrong - But now I'm living up to being a trouble-maker).
Oh- the elephant is in my getaways but I know Raven has it out. Mine is still on level 1 with 2 jobs complete... Do you want me to put it in my town?

Seeing that I deleted an entire thread today, I'll leave it to Raven to move if you want - but do you all want a separate thread with these posts moved to into it?

Sorry, I am doing naan and it requires my attention, but we all agree it sounds plausible if we can just recruit enough franchisers? I think that was the problem with NY, NY. The business needs to be affordable to Joe Schmoo at first, I think.

Is there any way we can get people to thank us by franchising the cupcake elephant business? I mean for when we franchise their towns. Maybe instead of sending us a gift. Or sometime along that line.

I franchised from Raven pop was 65. Now it's 107 with 86 check-in. Right next to it I put a business from the greater London area "Bringing Up Baby" zero everything. Great play on words if you guys decide to change. Since a couple of you have small babies.
If I delete and re franchise does it make the pop go up? Not sure how that works. And what is micro franchising? Will it help?

I will leave all the technical stuff to Derek - I have no clue.
I also franchised from Raven, and now have a popularity of 84 despite 132 check-ins. What's with that??
