****New Contest Announcement****
With the permission and approval of our Admin, Solsville, a new game has been created for all mytown2.net registered mayors. Bucks (franchises) and karma points to be given away.
Mayors, are you ready to claim your town? How well do you really know your town?
First 30 mayors to sign-up get the opportunity to play both parts of the game. (Yes, there is a Part I and a Part II to this game.) Don’t worry if you’re unable to make it to the list, there is a Part II for everyone else. You just need to be a registered member of this forum.
Sign-up begins tomorrow, May 3 at 12 noon PDT/ 3pm EDT. Full details, rules, and prizes will be posted then.
*Because Booyah releases new items during the weekend, this game will commence mid-week, Wednesday, May 9, 2012.

Objective: To identify your town at the shortest time.
Participants:
First 30 people to sign up for Part I of the game.
Any registered forum member for Part II of the game.
Game Period: May 9 – 11, 2012, PDT, (Wed- Fri), with 10 towns posted everyday at random times, 5 photos at a time, 2 sets daily. All towns from all 30 mayors will be posted during the game.
Registration for Part I of the game took place on May 3, 2012 and has already ended.
Rules:
Part I:
1. A screenshot of a portion of the selected town will be posted on this thread. 5 town photos will be posted at a time, with 2 sets daily for 3 days. Every town will be identified with a unique ID number.
2. If you think one of the photos was from your town, claim it and post on this thread, and say (something like):
“Town number X is mine!”
3. The time stamp of your claim post vs the time stamp the photo of your town was posted will be noted to determine how long it took you to identify your town.
4. If you claim a town that is not yours, you will be disqualified for Part I of the game.
Part II:
1. Within 6 hours from time of posting of the photo of the town, and ONLY IF the town has NOT been claimed by its mayor, all other players (not including the mayor of the town featured) can join and identify what town the photo was taken from. Note that the photo will be taken from the towns of any of the 30 registered mayors.
2. To play for Part II, Private Message me (Moose Town) with the Town identification number (not booyah ID) and the official town name (not the mayor’s name). Only the first 5 correct answers will be considered and given points.
3. As soon as the town is claimed correctly or six hours have elapsed (whichever comes first), that town is removed from Part II of the game.
How to score:
For Part I of the game, the mayor that claims his town in the shortest time wins the game.
For Part II of the game, 5 points will be given to the first correct answer, 4 for second, 3 for third, 2 for fourth and 1 for the fifth correct answer. Entries received after the fifth correct answer will no longer be considered.
At the end of the game, the player with the most points wins the game.
Prizes: There will be 3 winners each for both Part I and Part II, as follows:
1st prize – at least 10 biz franchises + 10 karma points
2nd prize – at least 5 biz franchises + 5 karma points
3rd prize – at least 2 biz franchises + 3 karma points
Additional franchises will be awarded by our resident RH, Big Bucks Fairy:
1st prize - franchise of all (100%) of your businesses
2nd prize - franchise of 75% of your businesses
3rd prize - franchise of 50% of your businesses
Consolation prizes for Part I of the game (also awarded by Big Bucks Fairy):
4th prize - 3 franchises
5th prize - 2 franchises
6th - 10th consolation prizes - 1 franchise each
Miscellaneous:
1. An official list of the 30 participants, with their Booyah IDs will be posted prior to starting the game.
2. The 30 participants are requested not to change anything in their towns beginning Tuesday, May 8, 12nn PDT until the game concludes on Friday, May 11, 11:59pm PDT.
3. The 30 participants can still play Part II of the game.
4. Please be honest and do not try to copy the photo posted by remodeling your town to claim it as yours.
5. Those playing for Part II MUST submit their answers via PM BEFORE the town is claimed by its rightful mayor. The time stamp will determine if the entry is valid.
6. For Part II, you do not need to identify all 5 towns at a time. As soon as you know the answer to one town, submit your entry right away.
7. We do not expect to have all 30 towns identified by Part II players. But of course, the more towns you identify (before the town is claimed), the higher your chances of winning.
8. To avoid confusion, please make sure you have the correct time zone set on your profile, and are observing Daylight Savings Time (if applicable).
9. Just to clarify, for Part II, you cannot submit an entry if the town featured is your own town.
