Everyone before this post are IN, all 29 of you.
I have one spot left --- but I'm trying to save it for Mojotx721, who signed up before registration began.
I leave it up to you --- whether or not I should save it. But if someone signs up before Mojotx, I would have to give the LAST SPOT to him/her.
Thanks everyone! I look forward to launching the game next Wednesday.

I'm OK with your decision on that either way. There are two sides to this one. I was one of the one's that signed up early as well. The reason I did was because of your post below came out almost right at noon EST. Since I usually only process 50% of the information that I read, I immediately jumped over to the sign up thread and jumped the gun not noticing the PDT time zone. Maybe we all need to be on BST - Booyah Standard Time. It would be great because you could tell somebody you were going to do something at a certain time and then just not do it and it would be ok Please do not forget to head over to the Community Events section today at 12noon, PDT, and register for the new game, HOW WELL DO YOU KNOW YOUR TOWN. First 30 mayors to sign up get to play both Part I and Part II of the game. It is a game different from any we have played in this forum, so far. Details will be announced then. See you there!

Moose, I'll support your decision no matter which way you go. I'm thrilled that you have so many people playing. The numbers usually aren't that high. Congrats, woman!

Thanks, YG! I've visited most of the participants' towns and been itching to take the screenshots. But I know I shouldn't yet because they might still change during the weekend. CM, if we're going Booyah Standard time, this will happen next month, or worse, never. Moose, I'll support your decision no matter which way you go. I'm thrilled that you have so many people playing. Thank you for asking. There's no hard deadline. But I will start taking screenshots by 12nn PDT on Tuesday. If you change your town after that time and I happen to have taken a photo of your town already, it might be difficult for you to confirm if that was indeed your town. In consideration of the Part II players, I simply request that you don't change your town after 12nn, PDT on Tuesday. But it's your town, and you're the Mayor so I can't really control what you decide to do. What's the deadline that we can change our town around?

How about instituting a rule which says that towns cannot be changed between two specific dates and, if they are, the player is disqualified? Otherwise, it gives an unfair advantage to the player doing the alteration. They'll know about it, but the rest of us won't.

In accordance with the official rules of the game, and the announcement presented beforehand, and in fairness to all other registered players, Followthesun is our 30th player. That, folks, officially concludes the registration process. If I am in, I am in. If not, no worries Moose

YG: That is a great idea. Fortunately, that wouldn't be necessary. Here's why: No one knows what part of the town is going to be featured. If say, the mayor who wishes to deceive other players sees his town, claims it and then changes his town --- by the time he changes his town, that town is no longer eligible for Part II, per the official rules. If when he sees his town photo, he then changes his town before claiming it, he jeopardizes his chances of winning Part I of the game. If however he changes his town after I have already taken a photo, but before it is featured, (1) he wouldn't be able to 100% confirm that that's his (unless he had photos of his town before he changed it, and also because some towns have sections which look similar to other towns (I know coz I've visited most towns already); and (2), it's fair game for everyone playing Part II since no one will ever know what town that is (since it has already been changed). Of course, you can't play part II if it's your own town. (oh wait... did I not include that in the rules? Well, I'm including it now.) Having said that, I am still relying on everyone's honesty and consideration and please do not change your town from Tuesday 12nn PDT until the end of the game. Please do not force me to have to check whether or not you changed your towns. (There are 30 of you whose towns I would have to check!) I trust you all. Thanks. (Hope I made sense.) You most certainly can. How about instituting a rule which says that towns cannot be changed between two specific dates and, if they are, the player is disqualified? Otherwise, it gives an unfair advantage to the player doing the alteration. They'll know about it, but the rest of us won't.

I'm sorry Big Bridge, but registration is now closed. Per the game rules, and for logistic reasons, Part I is limited to the first 30 members that register. You can still play for Part II though. Everyone is invited to play for Part II. Thank you for your understanding. Hay, I will sign up for the game., cool. Thanks
