Hey guys, I am just now returning all the many franchises everyone left last night. Holly COW!!! BB it's 200,585 to buy in coins lol!!! I was chatting to Geordie about doing this for some of the British Businesses yesterday. He said he didn't want to step anyone's toes so we'd wait till this was done. However it looks like you are going to carry on going from city to city which is great. Perhaps we can incorporate some of the other worlds best places, including all the big ones around the world? If Geordie does one for the this side of the pond it would help you rather than hinder I think, but let me know what you think. I'm sure people are happy to play more than one game at a time? Of course it also has to fit in time wise for Geordie. I've just come across a problem... It says I can franchise you for coins but when I try to buy it... says 'you don't have enough bucks to buy amountthis'?? Geordie has the right idea. Let's hold off on that until we finish our work here. For all of us to be doing two locations will cause each one to suffer due to work it would require to do multiple location shifting each day. I say for now, stay in Vegas and let's see if the power of the people can push a previously unknown property to #1. As it is, we're starting to lag. Sometime around 3am (unfortunately I was up), we were around 20,500 popularity, and nearly 12 hours later we've actually lost some popularity (not very much...I am seeing about 20,300). We had a very high push from 13k to 20k in 3 hours, apparently from the work of a handful of people doing heavy blitzing. At least one member told me they had re-franchised close to 200 times. I think we need to step it up. If those with ample coins could maybe re-franchise New York, New York repeatedly at a rate of around 50 times a day (something that would take approximately 20 minutes), that alone would cause a 1k popularity boost, which is substantial. Not saying anybody HAS to do that, but for those that maybe could...we would move a hell of a lot faster. And a big kudos to those that did 100+ times yesterday...you know who you are and you have my gratitude. Heck, you have ALL of our gratitude. Carry on folks, and I will continue handing out the green bucks. For now, our updated target list remains: Facebook (Palo Alto) = 15.2k Banana Republic (Beverly Hills) = 19.8kFrench Laundry Restaurant (Yountville) = 23.3k New York Times (NYC) = 23.9k Mixer Bar (Paris) = 26.6k Bonfini Pastabar (Berlin) = 35.1k Johnson Burger (Los Angeles) 35.6k Apple Store San Francisco = 42.2k Creperie O'Regal Valengaux (Paris) = 62.4k Quick (Paris) = 82.1k Okay. I was actually letting it build and then doing check-ins. Now I will just build and delete. Just did a bunch. Last one cost @229k and pop up to 22,806

I had collected first, when I got back all the coins were there again but not the handshakes. Like I said I'll be back and the other game is not on the books yet and I'm happy to play all games. I'll probably try it again tomorrow. It's cool it's already becoming popular enough for people to want to keep it! Guess what... The same thing has just happened to me too! Sorry BB but I'm feeling a little gun shy about changing locations now so I've just done a few more for you but I'm going to leave it till I can pluck up the courage to try it again lol. I'll do it at least one more time as I would like the business to keep myself. I'm also worried about losing my town I'll do the English ones when we get round to those. I totally understand. You have to remember that when you delete MT2 and re-install, the best course of action is to collect all coins and gifts and franchises before doing so. Although they are supposed to be saved for you, the game brings you back to the last known auto-save point and some information can be lost. You have to tread with a bit of caution. If you wanna take a break from this game and focus on the other one, so be it. I know there's a lot going on and especially when location switching is involved, it can be cumbersome. Thanks for all the work you've put it and I'm glad you're keeping New York, New York. I received a couple of single franchises from people who probably aren't involved in this game and likely just wanted New York New York because of its new status as a top property (both towns were full of the "best" properties). That's a true testament to all that we've done so far. Btw, since my last post the popularity has rocketed up to 22,518! Sheesh, kudos to the community. Didn't expect such a rapid reaction. You guys keep amazing me. Let's keep it up!

I'll still be franchising as many times as I can each day, but it's taking longer for me to make enough coins to refranchise.
I think the popularity is over 25,000 now, and it just cost me over 250,000 coins to franchise.

It is still hovering around 25000. Will do more later.

Okay, as of 11:59pm EST on Thursday night the final popularity for New York, New York Hotel & Casino finished at 31,646. INSANE!
Updates have been made to the priority target list:
Facebook (Palo Alto) = 15.2k Banana Republic (Beverly Hills) = 19.8k French Laundry Restaurant (Yountville) = 23.3k New York Times (NYC) = 23.9k Mixer Bar (Paris) = 26.6k Domino's Pizza (NYC) = 29.6 Bonfini Pastabar (Berlin) = 35.1k Johnson Burger (Los Angeles) 35.6k Apple Store San Francisco = 42.2k Old Islamic Mandarin Restaurant = 43.9k Creperie O'Regal Valengaux (Paris) = 62.4k Quick (Paris) = 82.1k
Note that since last night we passed French Laundry Restaurant, New York Times, Mixer Bar & Domino's Pizza.
I want to give a special shout-out to Amstelville, Preciousville, Sweet P&M, Dani's Town, Clement Hills, Olivias Veronas, Staville, Sunshineville, Solsville & Pville for their continued outstanding participation in this game. There's nearly 50 towns pitching in and the results have just been fantastic.
At this point, I wouldn't even both with check-ins or jobs unless you don't intend on re-franchising. Let's plug away with as many franchises as we can and see this through to the end. We're nearly halfway done with the game.

Alright, so here's our update.
We're at about 37.2k popularity at the moment. As great as that is, we've actually started to backslide. I suppose the higher you go, the harder it is to maintain. We were as high as about 38.5k, so we've lost roughly 1300 popularity within the past 8 hours.
Please note that in compensating the participants, I am a bit behind. There's about 6 people I haven't paid back from yesterday, and today so far I have only covered Preciousville, Nenville & Cajf2003. I want everybody to know I am working on it and plan to be completely done by this evening.
In the meantime, and I know it's a lot to ask, but for those with several million or billion coins, if you could kindly do 50+ franchises, I would be in your gratitude. We've come so far in 4 days and I know we can still go a lot further!

Again, after making a call to arms, the people have responded and popularity has soared. We are now officially in the top 5!!!
So let's see where we stand in relation to the remaining competitors...
Top 5 Most Popular Properties
1. Quick (Paris) = 85.6 2. Creperie O'Regal Valengaux (Paris) = 60.2k 3. Old Islamic Mandarin Restaurant (San Francisco) = 43.3k 4. New York New York Hotel & Casino (Las Vegas) = 42.9k
5. Apple Store San Francisco (San Francisco) = 40.2k
We have five more nights to try and get to the top. We are literally sitting at the halfway point towards attaining #1. Can we make New York New York the little property that could??? Stay tuned for more updates.
Also, I am making headway with the green buck franchises. 14 out of 27 participating towns have been fully compensated, with the rest due to be given their daily reward by the end of the day. Thanks everyone for your patience!

Wow, this is great. I just checked and popularity is over 43k. I would love to see this hit the top. If only I could earn coins faster. I feel like it takes me a couple of hours now to earn enough coins to refranchise.
Thanks for the game Barracuda. It really makes it more fun, giving my businesses some purpose.. haha.
