I checked a few towns just now and NYNY is between 68k and 69k. It has been fairly consistent between 65 and 70k thru the day. Which compared with yesterday is pretty good considering it is a holiday weekend. And apple sf right now is at ~40k, 39k in your town. I dunno what to make of that. I see a half dozen of my biz went from 350-600 or so to >50. I'm still trying to make out what the server updates do to pop when, and what observations they may be using. That drop to 2k for apple really has me perplexed. It just doesn't represent any observation I have made in a week or more, not that I have been writing notes on it. And then it rebounds.  |

Rough day. Quick continues to grow and is up nearly 30k above what it was at about 4-5 days ago. We took a beating today...we were as high as about 71.4k and went as low as 65k. Overall our total growth from last night was about 5500 popularity (it was about 18000 the previous night), and based on the estimated number of franchises given we lost about 8-9k popularity throughout the day. As you might notice, Apple Store San Francisco lost its top 5 spot and was replaced by Johnson Burger. Sadly, the Apple Store fell victim to the popularity monster and was knocked down from about 42k to 2k!!! Let's regroup. The more you can franchise, the better. I'll be putting in probably about 300 or so franchises myself to help the cause (so you should probably just franchise Chilli at Sherwood Forest for the next couple of hours). While I don't expect the average participant to do nearly as many, it's clear there's sizeable dropoff and we are just barely holding the #2 spot. If you haven't gotten your compensation for today (and there's a very small number still awaiting payment for yesterday), be patient and give me until tomorrow afternoon. Then shoot me a PM if you didn't get your green bucks. Most players I am fully up to date on. Tomorrow is a holiday in the U.S., so it will be a challenge to keep the numbers high. Just do as much as you can. We've come ridiculously far, guys. Just a little bit further. We CAN do this. I noticied at one point today, it was down to @63000. Just went in and it is back up to 71,172. I wonder if their server was not updating? Either that, or BB you have had an effect with you franchising. Anyway, I admit I have been a slacker. I had a school paper due today and just finished it. I will get on in a bit and do a bunch tonight. Thanks |

I was there a few times today and it was up and down . I think that is to be expected at least the first little while . Will try to visit it again later.

Just went to franchise but didn't see it in your town, bb (server delay?) so I snagged it from chilli. Here's yesterday at a glance... like before, time of purchase on left and pop on right.

69,307, in Sherwood Forrest. Still missing in BB. But the good news is Apple SF rebounded by x2. The baseline never moved for me in 12 hours from around 2700 despite my blitz with jobs and check-ins.
Looking at check-ins for biz from pop 14 to 7800, it appears to be totally random either for my recent activity or all check-ins (which is what I see in stats). so, I am wondering if it has to do with the number of jobs over x period of time?

This has been a fun weekend for MT2. The first thing I do is check the NY pop when I open the app.
I find it really odd the way Quick skyrocketed in pop so fast when NYNY started growing to a top 5 business. It seems like that was not a coincidence, but I could be wrong.
Also, a big thanks to Chilli and BB. The bucks for your franchises are allowing me to rethink what my town can be (still a work in progress).
I'll keep franchising today, I still have a stockpile of coins that are lasting longer than I thought.

Barracuda, just got back from the long, constant speed trap from Vegas to Phoenix.... Only one speeding ticket!
Right after I checked in on Friday at NY, NY Las Vegas I put a dollar in a slot machine for you... You won $25 real bucks!!
The hotel wi-fi was really bad, I tried to franchise every night when we would get back to our room.... Was a crap shoot each time I would try to get on MT2 if I would get on or not.
So I'm home an ready to help the cause. How quickly are you collecting your franchises? How long do I have to wait between re-franchising?

BB, How many times do you want me to re-Franchise? I can do this as much as you want, let me no. I can re-franchise a lot. I am confused, again..?? Do I just refranchise , DELEAT, and franchise over and over....OR...do I need to add some levels to the franchise, before I DELETE it again? Then do I just o random check- in.... 1- do a 1/2 3 min boost job and or do just left hand corner check in ..OR. both?.. I want to do what will help the best and the most for the remaining time left I had just been franchising, immediately deleting biz, and then refranchised it again several times over and over, back to back......if I did it ring, it's not because I didn't not try to help for the past 6 days.......... I hope that dame pop monster doesn't screw us all at 11:58 pm tomarrow night or 11:58 we'd night...USA. CSTime? |

Hey Barracuda! I am actually leaving for Vegas this Friday with my son and will be staying at New York, New York! We have tickets at the MGM for UFC 146. You have been so awesome with helping me out the last few months.... So I am so excited that I can do something for you finally! As soon as I get in or room,I will franchise a few casinos for you. I have been so chicken to switch locations (I lose bucks everytime) so the timing of my trip seems perfect!  And since you love New York, New York... I'll put a buck in a slot machine there for you.... I'll let you know how that turns out! Please, for those of us that can't see that hotel, would you take some cool pics of place ( swimming pool, too) and post them here maybe under a new York NV thread of its ow....just a thought. Very small gains for us today, and some significantly larger gains for the opposition. It does seem like someone is organizing a countereffort to thwart our attempts at the top spots. Not much we can do about it. For the time being, NY NY will be missing from my town while I help franchise to assist the cause. Franchising from Sherwood Forest is a good call. I will be doing the same. Will try and do 200-300 franchises...once again, the more you can do, the better. We have one more night officially to finish the experiment, although I may extend our efforts a bit depending on how we finish. I am not so sure Quick is beatable anymore, not at the rate they are moving. If we can make a lot of headway and people are interesting in continuing after tomorrow for another couple of days, I'm game. Let's see what happens.
