Kona Town: That sounds very scary. By coincidence, my two towns were originally SF and Paris. None of my Parisian towns ever disappeared. The only possibility, and not saying this is the case, but lately, Booyah's server seems to be running slower and can take a couple(?) of hours to see changes. Hopefully by now your towns are back.

This has happened to me on more than one ocassion. Been wondering what the deal is. No one seem to had a problem with it. My progress was reverted back to like I never switched locations and franchised in the first place. I noticed that when u franchise, the pop number in game center does not reflect the new pop # in ur stat page immediately. For example, lets say i franchised a couple of businesses in my new location: my new pop # would show a higher # in the stats page, but game center would show a lower pre-franchise #. Maybe the server is slow and the numbers/progress haven't been updated yet. If the numbers are the same, I'm guessing it's been updated so that's when it's safe to switch locations again with progress being saved. This is purely speculation on my part...maybe someone can test this theory out. I'm at max businesses and pretty much done with location changes til new land comes out...so I can't do it That being said, I usually waited a day to switch locations again when I was still doing it. And that worked out fine.

i'll try 4 hours again tomorrow. stay tuned. Ok I'll admit I haven't read this discussion closely but if it's about losing progress things have changed since the update before this. Once you change locations you must quit the game and then reload it again before changing locations again. Also Im always logged out of game centre so when I delete it doesn't ask me if I want to keep anything. All game centre does it keep track of your game info for leaderboards etc. If that's not what your discussing just ignore me. Lol

call me ignorant...how do you quit the game? all i know how to do is go back to my ipod home screen. but if i go back into mytown, it picks up right where i left off. i think you need to somehow get back to the mytown2 screen where it loads all your data.

Zanibar might be on to something. I've never reloaded my town before deleting the app and reinstalling.
To quit and reload: press the home key twice. The multi task bar will pop up. Press and hold the mytown2 app til a minus sign (-) pops up, then press it again when it wiggles. This closes the app. When u open MT2 again, it will reload.
See if that solves the location progress mystery. I'm dying to know.

Hi! Thanks for the tip! It works great traveling. My problem is this: I change location for example to Paris France, franchize some of the businneses I found (4 or 5 businneses) then follow the step with reinstalling the game. The problem is that after starting the game with actual location I lose some of the franchized businneses . I mean from 4 or 5 businneses franchized I only see 1, 2 or 3. And the game come back to an earlier stat (coins , businnes level). How can I keep all the franchized businneses? I have to wait more time in the other location before reinstalling? Thank you!
P.S. Excuse my english!

Yes, it seems with the latest update there is now a "waiting period" before all your game data syncs with the Booyah servers. If anyone find a way to shortcut this "wait time" please post. I'll try to mess around with it a bit myself.

Yes we have to wait. I think it has something to do with Game Center too. When I check my town2/menu/stats/ popularity it show a number that's not the same with the number in game center/my town2/popularity top. Same with population, buyed some houses and incresed population in game but in game center didn't change. So for now I'll wait until game center updates with the stats I've got in game, then see what hapends. Thank you

Does this mean I won't ever be able to change my location? I live in clevand/Akron area. Everything popular costs way way too many bucks.

You can change your location, you just need to wait a day or so if you want to keep the businesses you buy in the other location. BTW, I changed my location from New York to San Francisco yesterday and bought a few businesses. Then, I thought I would get fancy and visit Paris for a little. I had already got the businesses I acquired in San Francisco up to a level 2 or 3, and when I switched to Paris, they went back to the "just building" stage. I still had them, but I lost that little bit of time. Just thought I would let you all know. It is probably best to give it a little time.

I'm slightly stumped. I set my location to LA long ago and have been using this tactic for a while, but when I went to franchise a Johnson Burger (in LA) it said I had to pay 400 bucks. I've got 1.6B so obviously I have enough coins.
Any suggestions?

I've got 1.6B so obviously I have enough coins. Any suggestions? Do the following and then purchase the business - 1. Tap on 'Check-In' and wait for it to load up. 2. Then tap on 'Social' and the on 'Explore'. 3. Tap on 'Current Location' and then type in the location which you set the game Eg: LA Then purchase your business. Hope this helps!
