Hi everyone! So after being shut out of the game yesterday, I had to google what the issue was. In doing so, I learned that BFS released a new game u all might be interested in. Drum roll please...it's called GIZMONAUTS and get this...it's basically DV but instead of dragons, it's robots! ;D. It follows the same exact blueprint as DV but with items called zones (habitats), snax shack (treat farms), baby bot station (nursery), breeding lab (cave/island). I'm currently on level 7 and got my breeding lab so I'm starting to breed other bots lol. U guys will have no problems getting the gist of it. Like DV, it's rather slow in the beginning with coins and clearing land but it'll get easier as u progress in the game. It's not as fluid as DV and dragons are way cooler but if ur a fan of DV, give it a try. At the very least, it's something to do while waiting for those dragons to breed Let me know how u guys like it. Hope u enjoy this one, Judy Disclaimer: not responsible for real money spent on this possible new addiction Btw, crystals are a good thing in this game lol (gems)

Thanks Kech. I'll check it out, but I just can't imagine robots being as interesting as dragons. We'll see.

Gizmonauts loading now, Kech. I have been messing around with Mirrors of Albion. It sucks you in and then you run out of gems. Spent money once, and said, "What am I doing?"
I was going to bed early, but then I read the Forum.
My friend, Wanda, who was found to have a mass on her brain last March passed away this afternoon. I knew she was close to the end. I was at a production called, "Jersey Nights" at the Eldorado with other seniors. As far as I can tell, it was a subset of the Jersey Boys musical. All Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons music and dancing. Music still running around in my head. Wanda loved music and dancing and would be delighted at how I spent the afternoon.

Thanks Yaneya. Gizmonauts: It takes 220 snacks to raise a bot to level 5 where you can add gizmos (not sure yet what they do except the one that adds 10% to earnings) and, yes, breed. I didn't think computers could mate, but who knew? I invested $10 in gems, er cyrstals, and found the following: Builder + Franken ---> Beat Bot 3 hr breed + 3 hr incubate Mining + Franken ----> Carrier Bot 4 hrs each Carrier + Franken ----> ? 3 hrs but not a Beat Bot Edit: According to the Sandbox, there are more results possible for the above combinations. I tried the first combo 3 times, getting the same result. I tried the 2nd combo twice and had the same. I hope someone starts a wiki and builds us a sandbox. Edit: There is a wiki gizmonauts.wikia.com/wiki/Gizmonauts_Wiki and a Sandbox www.2084.org/gizmonauts/breeding-sandbox/

As to not clutter the Dragonvale thread with robot talk and as per several members' requests, I've started this thread to discuss Gizmonauts, a new game from Blackflip Studios, the developers of the highly popular breeding game...Dragonvale. Thanks to those who gifted me crystals and sped up my progress the last several days. Since we can only gift 3 crystals a day, I'm already behind on gifting. I have started a rotating friends list for gifting and will gift when I can, so please be patient. Several welcomed additions I've noticed that are not in DV: --gifting resets after midnight, not 24hrs --timer display when u zoom in on progress bar --new mail notification, meaning no more "...and others have sent you a gem" message --rocks and trees that are cleared can be purchased in the market --the ability to help speed up progress for a friend For Dragonvalers who are on the fence about this game...Frankenbot is a limited robot who will be here til 11/11 fyi...u don't wanna miss this one Thanks Judy for the sandbox info, didn't know one even existed yet.

Enjoy your victory with the Giants, Kech!
Gizmonauts thoughts:
The real fun starts at level 10 with the Battle Arena. You pit 2 of your Bots against game opponents you can see. This is where some of the Gizmos can help. At first, I used the speed up the fight option, being female and not into combat. Then, I realized I needed to see what worked well. When your Bots win, you get some prizes, a little cash, a little feed, and XP. But, your Bots can get medals that increase their earning power. It costs 1,500 coins to fight.
Yes, I have spent money. $10 yesterday and $35 today. I like to spend at the beginning to move things along.
No sense leveling a Bot past 5 until you are ready to put him into battle. Unlike the Colosseum, the Battle Arena can be refreshed to fight again with 2 Crystals or waiting 2 hours. Then, it's off to fight again.
Although many of the basics are like DragonVale, it doesn't feel like DV. Maybe it's the quirky bots. I don't have affection for them the way I do for some of the dragons, but I am enjoying the challenge of figuring out how best to use limited resources like the number of Zones (habitats).
One thing I don't like is that selling a Bot doesn't give much money. So raising Bots to sell may not be a good strategy.
Edit: It was only the cheap bots that didn't yield much in selling. Others do. The wiki has info.
So far, the only friends I have are Kech, Leilani, 407Mom, and Melezzy.

Wow, Judy! U got the battle arena already? U catch up quick! I'm halfway through level 9 so no battle arena for me yet. Sounds like fun! I'm not so sure I how feel about the gizmo attachments. Seems like another way to get players to spend money.
Still working on Frankie...did builder/performer several times but no dice. Haven't spend money on the game yet but I feel that time is coming.
Astro bot is the new rainbow! Can't wait to get that guy ;D

The battles are getting harder to win and more expensive. They were 1500 at level 10 and 3400 at levels 11 and 12. Gizmos are important to winning. Watch for what your opponents have. You may outclass an opponent in level number but be wiped out by its superior weaponry.
A Safety Bot showed up as an effective opponent before I could get one at level 12. He has a Stop sign. I don't think I won any battles against him with level 10 bots. It costs 50 k for a Repair Zone and 75 k for the bot, so I'm earning my way up to it.
I spent more money today on Crystals ($25) and feed ($15). This has to stop!!!

Don't tell me that Judy. Well I guess it begins now.........
I'm not going to spend real money, I'm not going to spend real money, I'm not going to spend real money.................
Let's see how long that lasts.

I've discovered a good combo for income, Builder + Repair. The two outcomes, Welder and Safety, sell for 50 k. The best news is that one matures in an hour, the other in two!
You need to be at level 12 to get these. Cost of battles is up to 8500.

Good info, Judy. Unfortunately I'm nowhere near level 12 right now . Will use that combo once I get there. Just plugging away at the moment, got the battle arena yesterday but only 60k saved up. 1 win and 3 losses so far...getting my butt kicked by the grinder bot Frankie is still eluding me.

The Grinder is formidible, Kech. I just upgraded mine to level 10 and he is knocking off the Caterpiller and Carrier that the game is currently throwing at me. I'm changing my 2nd Bot off until it gets to 100% increased earnings. I'm not sure I defeated Grinder before I had this one.
I bought my Franken, actually 2, since I'm spending real money on Crystals. I'm not using them in the Arena. You still have time to get one breeding.
It is unclear if we will have something like the Hibernation Cave. I have sold off most of my duplicates to make room for bots I wanted. I have felt constrained by the limits on zones until level 13 when I could upgrade the Mining Zones which increases capacity from 1 to 3.
I think you are doing really well with the no real money limitation. Judy
