Hi Mehurin, I sent an invite on Game Center. I have one gem left and will try to get it to you once you accept me. I've been sending Suttontown advice based on what I've learned so far. I could copy you if you like. Or I could post to the forum. I hate to clutter this thread up if no one is interested. The gifts take 24 hours to replenish. I find I have to close and re-open the game when I'm sure enough time has passed. Judy

Ok. So it's not like my town and starts over at midnight, an actual 24 hr. ok. But that is how to gift right. Just go to friends tab and hit the free gift button?

Amazing Archangel! I see 3 emeralds hatching and 2 more tries breeding. I tried 5 times this morning with no luck. I wonder if that's because I have 3 in my gem habitat. I'll try again. Congratulations. Judy

Archangel-- regarding gifts in Dragon Story. We get to send only 3 a day. It seems to work best when I get one and send from the menu that pops up.
I hadn't noticed the habitat cost increase since I haven't bought one recently. I'm earning lots though as long as I check in to collect. Judy

Mehurin: welcome to the addicted world of DV! Coins are hard to get in the beginning but it gets easier as the game progresses. Try to breed hybrid dragons as u will need them to breed rare dragons later down the road. Upgrade the hatcheries and get the epic breeding island if u have enough gems. Having 2 breeding places is better than one. U may have to spend some real money on those or u could save ur gems for it.
Ed: gifts reset 24 hrs after u sent them. If u gift a friend at 6pm today, for example, u can't gift him again til 6pm the next day. If u gift another friend at 8pm, u can't gift him til 8pm the following day, on and on. I usually gift them all at the same time so I know I have 24 hrs to the min to gift them again. Hit the gift button and ur gem will be sent.

I love the breeding calculator. I had no idea how to try for certain dragons until I found that. It is awesome!! I am still really new at this but I love it so much! I won my first competition! Yea so excited!!! Judy has been such a great help...she is full of awesome information!
At what level can I get the breeding island? I haven't seen it available yet.

It becomes available at lvl 13 and costs 125 gems. You can also upgrade it to Epic Breeding Sanctuary for 1250 gems. It gives you 20% reduction on breeding times but at that price it's not worth it in my opinion. |

That should only take me about 6 months. haha How often do you win the 5 gems in the competitions? Is it fairly regular or do you lose a lot? Also...do you always win either 5 or 2 gems or do you sometimes get nothing? Thanks for adding me Oceanside!!! I sent you a gift. |

My first cold dragon is going to be done in about 4 hours. I am really excited because once I have that I think I will be able to breed a lot more of the rarer dragons. According to the calculator...it seems like it is really going to open up many more possibilities. ;D

Sutton, u can win 1, 2, 5 gems in the daily competition. The higher ur dragon level, the more likely u'll win more gems. All my dragons are level 10 and up so I've been getting 5 gems on a regular basis. Colosseum competition is a good way to earn XP's as well. U will need a lot of those to level up. Moon/sun dragons require 3 different element types. Rainbow dragon requires 4 different elements. I didn't get my first rare til level 18 but I've read people getting theirs at level 13. It's the luck of the draw and completely random. Good luck!  Edit: to all u DV vets, last day to breed the emerald is today. Pearl dragon coming tomor! ;D woo hoo!  |

Great to finally see so many new people joining in the dragon raising, pretty soon this forums gonna have to rename itself from mytown2.net to everybodystoppedplayingmytown2causeofnolandsowereallplayingdragonvalenow.net Hehehehehehe For new people, i know its really daunting and kinda discouraging to see people at high level getting all these awesome dragons and decorations and stuff, but keep in mind, (myself anyways) has been playing since the winter, every day checking and breeding and stuff, and i didnt have the community or help when i started so in no time at all, youll be at 20 islands with super platinum diamond encrusted rainbow sparkle fairy time justice dragons! ....bahahaha  i actually want that as a dragon now. |

Should I not use gems to finish things quickly? And can I give a vote for Tiny Village which I've been playing while waitng on land. . Guess I'll have to add you guys as friends in Dragon! |

Thanks for the encouragement. I'm not getting discouraged...just enjoying the ride. I am trying not to be impatient because when it's all done...well..we see what happened in MT2...cough, cough. Your new forum name made me actually lol! I was shocked in my first competition that I won a gold because I only had a level 5 dragon competing. I guess that was a freebie. I won't expect those results going forward. |

Hahaha thanks guys! This friend stuff is kinda confusing... I accepted 3 fr's and when I go to friends in dv it says invite your friends from gamecenter or facebook. When i hit the gamecenter button I get to a screen where I can see you and highlight each of you, but I can't do anything else .. It also says I have 3 gems... Nothing else seems to do anything... What am I missing? Edit: actually I can't highlight each of you in the gamecenter screen like I said Edit yet again: a simple restart fixed it  |

If anyone still wants another Emerald I definitely encourage you to try and use your gems. I spent over two weeks since it's release unable to breed it and now in less than 24 hours I have two! It cost me about 110 gems but well worth it.
Sorry I won't be able to gift everyone when my timer resets. I'll try and get everyone over the next few days. Thank you all who sent gems.
