New season (2) starts this weekend in the uk. Whoop. ( I know we are behind)

Book-
Hunger games. I know v predictable, but I did enjoy.

Film-
Not seen anything that special recently. No doubt something will come to my mind later. Favourite film is Dogma tho'

Sorry Raven. Shared a bit to much lol. Could not decide on what to pick as nothing especially came to mind.

TV - Tough choice between Homeland on Showtime and Boardwalk Empire on HBO. Both have me hooked.

Dawn I really enjoyed the Hunger Game books and I thought the movie was well done too!

TV shows: The Game of Thrones...if u like Braveheart and fantasy tales of kings and dragons with betrayal, lies and deceit with the occasional nudity...this show is for u

Southland - Best Cop Drama on TV right now. Takes u out on the beat with Patrol Officers


Movies: The Flowers of War...became a Christian Bale fan after watching this movie

Books: The Game of Thrones

Songs: whatever is on my iPod

It's going...still on page 1 of book 1 lol. Haven't had a chance to read it yet but I will since Season 3 of the show won't be coming out til next Spring .

I need to revisit the song thread to see what u posted. I remember ur songs to be...shall we say...a little "different" lol.

I just started a book today called
"The Beautiful Mystery" by Louise Penny - it started out good!

Have read all of her books - mysteries - and enjoyed them all -

Hmm. I will do like everyone else for TV shows cause I figure you'll all recognize them. These are the ones I really enjoy! We don't subscribe to cable so I wait until DVDs are available tho, so noooo spoilers plz. XD

Ghost Adventures (you need a sense of humor to enjoy this, I think, haha)
Ancient Aliens (ancient astronaut theorists suggest you need a sense of humor for this, too)

Inception (people who say they "didn't get it" make me lol)

....oh heck, I'll just take a picture. I don't buy stuff I don't watch over and over, lol...

Honestly, that's not even all of it. I have more above the shelves in the first pic, and below in both. And some more on an Iron Man Standee, and then the ones I recently watched on the counter across the room...

Movies on my list to buy : Dark Shadows and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel

Books...again, there are many. But the ones I love best, I keep out on a set of shelves in my room.
I'll just list some authors first, because most of them I like almost all books by :

Anne McCaffrey (RIP, sniff...) - anything
Sharon Shinn - Samaria novels and especially Summers at Castle Auburn
Mercedes Lackey - anything
Robin D. Owens - Celta novels
Robin McKinley - pretty much all
David Eddings - Belgariad & Mallorean
Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child's Pendergast novels
Dean Koontz - especially Odd Thomas books
Anne Perry - Charlotte & Thomas Pitt novels
Charlaine Harris - the Harper Connelly books
James Gurney - Dinotopia

And a few I only favor one or two books from :

Bruce Coville - Oddly Enough

There are others, but these are the ones I keep out and close by. =)

And lately I've been reading nonfiction. My tastes have expanded, I guess. I particularly like psychology books for some reason. People are very weird creatures. One I really enjoyed recently was a handwriting analysis book called "Sex, Lies, and Handwriting". If you're curious about graphology but don't want to read some dry textbook style writing about it, this is the book for you!

Enjoy all of the Charlaine Harris book series as well as her True Blood tv series!

And I'm such a Trekkie! Loved all tv series plus the movies

You're one of the first people *I* have met that's read A Girl of the Limberlost, too! Hehe. I love that book. Read it so many times. It's looking a little loved, but I am sentimental and also like the paper my copy is printed on. It's kinda floppy, not that rough newsprint most small paperbacks come with...so if I set it down, it stays open to the page I'm on. XD

Oh, Anne McCaffrey was the author of the first book I ever cried over. I never cry over books or movies, but I dribbled everywhere at the end of "All the Weyrs of Pern". =\ I get pretty attached to characters when the series goes on for a while. e.e

Well, it was a pretty close call with the movie version of The Help, too...so if you want a good cry (and some laughs), try that on for size!

Oh! The Help!!! Lol I loved both book and movie! It was one of the few movies I actually went out and bought!! I was so pleased with myself as I had it on our book shelves way before it ever came near the best seller lists!!!

I really enjoy the PostSecret books from Frank Warren. =) I have all of them. They are very moving.

Well. I watched some of the new releases this week - Magic Mike, Take This Waltz, The Key...

And I didn't make it all the way through any of them. D:

I should have watched that Tinkerbell movie, lol...

But there's a new John Grisham book out! The Racketeer. =) Which I will doubtless be buying for my mother, who will read it in two days. So then I can report on that. XD
