Attention all forum members! There is one week until Mother's Day and in celebration of our Forum Mom, Yarn Goddess, an event has been created in her honor.
With approval from Solsville, the following event will take place starting today (05/06) and ending midnight PST on Mother's Day (05/13). This thread will be open to any positive ode to our dear Mom. The rules are simple:
1. Post a positive message to Yarn Goddess. The message can be in the form a few simple words, a silly or serious picture, a quote from her own posts, a generous virtual hug, or anything you would like!
2. In order to post, you MUST exalt Yarn Goddess. This means, you can post multiple times throughout the week, throughout the day, one hour apart (karma rules). This is on an honor system, so let's be honest and show Mom she raised us to be good forum members.
For everyone who participates, they will receive +2 Karma points from the admin of the forum. I took this to be a one time +2 Karma points from Solsville - c'mon... you guys could end up posting 100 times!
This is not to keep Yarn Goddess from receiving her regular exalts in the forum, either. If you want to exalt her throughout the week for something she's done in the forum, please continue to do so.

From the first day i joined this wonderful site,
Our mom YG would never earn my smite.
She's funny and caring, looks after us all,
Just reading her posts, i have a ball!
So thank you the Goddess, what more can i say,
She's like my mom in every single way.

Thank you for making me laugh until I became the youngest person in the supermarket buying Depends. You are a warm welcome breeze through my day (that usually turns into a force 9 tornado), and you epitomize the phrase "OMG" whenever I chat with you.
You are brave, funny, caring, generous, loyal, weird, kooky, slightly deranged and wonderful. You are also one of the only people I have ever entrusted my daughter with enough to post her internationally.

cletsky, I forgot to tell you... you're absolutely darling! I LOVE the two TV moms! I think I resemble the second one more, though - at least if I put on a gray wig.
