Happy Mom Day, and thank you for the awesome job you do on this forum. Although I am a warped weaver I have yet to obtain goddess status. You should be exalted for that alone. Have a wonderful week.

HAPPY MOM's DAY!!!
I'm a little late coming to the party as I see we are already on page 2!! You deserve this sooooooo much.. You are definitely one of my favorites on this forum. You always make me smile and I love to read your posts. Thanks for policing the forums and for everything that you do. You are kind, caring and generous to a fault and I always enjoy checking my PM's and having a message from you.
You deserve all the exalts we can possibly give to you.

P - you are a great forum mom. You have a knack for knowing when to lift the mood with a well timed joke, when to be stern, and most importantly, you're always so supportive and willing to lend a hand and help folks. You're awesome. -j

Happy Mom's Day!
Normally I would have been one of the first to post how wonderful our Forum Mom is. Unfortunately family stuff has kept me busy today. I must say its a lot easier being one of the first ones because so many have posted so many great things already. Everyone of them is true. A good Mom encourages you when you've done something good, corrects you when you've done something wrong, settles disputes among siblings, and is always there when you need her. She's protective of you and gives selflessly to her family. She does these things with unconditional love and asks for nothing in return. We are so fortunate to have a Forum Mom amongst us and I can't thank YG enough for being there for us. She is the soul of the forum and the glue that keeps us together. There are so many times she has posted my exact thoughts on a subject and she says what needs to be said at the right time. She's made my life a little bit better and I'm glad she is my friend (because I sure wouldn't want to be her enemy haha). YG, you've earned this.
Thanks Snibull for getting this going. There will be lots of exalting once I get off this proboards app and to a real computer.

I wish you all could feel how I do right now. Many of you know about the health issues I'm dealing with; they sometimes get me really down, so I come here to be with my friends and family. There's nothing that could get me down today, though. I had no idea you all felt like this, and I'm completely taken aback. I showed this to Mark (Mr. Goddess), and he even teared up. This is far beyond anything I've ever experienced, and I just can't express myself. Maybe by the end of the week, I'll come up with something that comes even a little close, but somehow, I doubt it. Thank you, all of you. I'm... in tears again.

Dear YG,
My own mother passed in '96. It's nice to have you in my life. Everyone needs a good mom, even grandmas like me.

Dear YG
I am going to think of something wise and or witty or erudite and will add more thoughts later, but for now thanks for taking the time to explain when I was confused, and for helping out with support for my village (small town, waiting for more land ;D).
It's great that we can have a chance to honour your contribution.
Sending my exalt your way.
Hugs

Mom you are a shining star though the world doesn’t know your name. You have no fancy title like Baroness or Dame. Mom you really are a star, our mother mentor and friend. A Nobel Prize for motherhood is what I’d recommend. And if I won the lottery I’d share my win with you I’d take you Mom on a spending spree each day the whole year through! (if only I could take you on a shopping spree with my big super lotto win. Lol) You may not be famous, as your face is known to few. But Mom we think you are wonderful and we're so proud of you! Note: I didn't write this ...I found it online. I could not find the author to give credit to...but I thought it was an appropriate tribute to our wonderful forum mom! +1

Yarn Goddess Mom
We have bestowed upon you the highest title known to man As we all love our mothers and they have a special place in our hearts You well deserve this honor for all the things that you do And for the values you have taught us through the simple messages you share.
Arrogance, disobedience and disrespectfulness Were behaviors you were not going to tolerate You taught us to express appreciation and gratitude And show respect for the givers’ time, effort and generosity.
Politeness and patience were values you instilled in us You were annoyed when we asked twice. You give without expecting anything in return And you have made this forum community into a real family.
You always stood up for what is right Even when you are up against the authorities You challenge them when they are unjust And support them when they are right.
I honor you today as you are our forum Mom But most of all, I honor your person And thank you for your friendship. The forum is a better place and it will not be the same without you.
376.

+1 Because you can post a thank you in the franchise me thread (oops, did I just call you out?)! Love you mom! **edit: you are too quick or I am too slow, thought I saw something but it doesn't matter... You can do whatever you want because you are MOM! I'll give you another exalt in an hour for modifying my post... Lol

There's no such thing as "spamming" on this thread. Ok, YG, I had to go back to my Christmas syncs on iphoto to find this screenshot. It was my mom's first DYAC (or just inability to "type on her mini pc", as she says). I know the file size is large, but I couldn't reduce it. Hope you laugh!

Snibull, that's hilarious! Especially since you love margaritas... I know what you're talking about and yes, you did see that. I was sleepy last night when I was writing my thank you post and thought I was on the correct thread. It turns out that I was on the franchising thread. Sometimes, I doze off when I'm reading and/or typing, and that's what happened. This morning, when I was reading the thank you's, I didn't see my post and went looking for it. I copied the text, deleted it from the wrong thread, and copied it into the correct one. You probably saw it before I did that. My bad.

And then not so funny when I went back and it was gone- And yes, margarita is my Spanish name. Or was, in like the 7th grade. Wait a minute, this is starting to sound like a therapy session. Wrong forum.
