Does anyone have the Wonderland with the pre-releases town ID? I know it's in the other forum, but I don't want to go and dig through it. BTW, Barracuda Bay, is your user list link somewhere on the home menu? Are you doing work to update it, or leave it at the last version? It must have taken you forever. A very basic and simplified view of the way the code / hacking concept works (hacking is not a good term, it's really more like logical writing): The program is written in sections, and things/features may be included, or added without our knowledge, but are not necesarrily indicated to operate yet, so that only Booyah test users can test them out for critical problems (i.e. they make people's towns disappear). It's all written out in a long (let's say) document, sort of like a menu, and when it combines with another program, the other program sort of 'reads the menu', operates the commands, and the game works.... So in the section that contains wonders, you would find words that refer to existing wonders (i.e. <mtfuji>). You would also be able to read unfamiliar wonders in the same section (i.e. <mothership>, <shintotemple>). Then if you know how to read the next step to the menu, you would see that the menu indicates if it's active or inactive (i.e. <mothership>....<active>.....<no>. Kind of like following the dots on the menu to the price list. So if you know how to read the menu, you can write over some things, and then save it. (<active>...<YES>, or <greenbuckbalance=99999999999>. Then you hope it operates (with the other program), without causing conflicts with other paramaters / being too unstable to risk. Of course, you would have a backup copy of the original menu, before you made any changes, just in case... The directory can be found under "General Board" and it contains the user names, town names and Booyah IDs for about 200 members. It is literally updated every day as new people show up in either forum or contact me directly. Anybody who ever posted in Mac Rumors and at least gave an ID has been grandfathered in and by now I have searched out pretty much all the new people here. It did take several hours to put together, especially as I was missing several town names and had to add users myself and play detective work to figure out who was who. But once I got the bulk of it done, the upkeep has been fairly easy. On average, I am adding between 4-9 people a day and that's some healthy growth! It will surely slow down over the coming weeks. I see I'm at -3 in Karma now, and I don't see any changes to my account. I don't feel different...  And, it seems I started a Karma sub-thread without meaning to. I've also attached an image of Wonderland (the one w/ all the past wonders) at 50% size. Has anyone else had trouble checking in the past couple of days? Whenever I go to check in, it tells me "Sorry! We couldn't find any locations around you. Please check your connection and hit refresh". I've checked my connection (everything is fine), double-checked the location services was still on, hit refresh multiple times, shut the game off and back on, nothing is making the msg go away. It's not a big deal since I check in to only businesses I own anyway, but that little warning pops up everytime and it's annoying.  |
