Check-ins: What are you doing with them? I absolutely hate the loss of the the blue stars so I only occasionally use Checkins to speed up jobs. As a result, I've accumulated--drum roll--1,000.
So what are YOU doing with your Check-ins? Saving them or using them anyway?

nyteowl: Your reaction is funny! I hesitated to write "telephone book" and I figured you'd end up using your cell or computer anyway. LOL!
There seems to be no rhyme or reason how the MT2 search engine works. I have found mistakes, duplications, if you search one way, you can't find things, or if you search another way, it might find what you're looking for, and businesses are assigned the wrong type. I sure hope Booyah improves it or replaces it altogether.

Thanks for your listing, but overall I was a bit disappointed with the selection of businesses I discovered during my brief trip to Southern California. I was going to add Magic Mountain to my town, but decided not to. The amusement park looked so empty and abandoned when we drove by it.
I don't know how Booyah selects the businesses that are available to buy/franchise in the game. If they have Radio City Music Hall, why not the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood?"

It's getting late where I am and I haven't start collecting coins from completed jobs yet! It seems to take so long to level my businesses to level 10...I'd hate to spend my bucks that way...but the option to receive bucks as gift is tempting. Guess I'll just have to keep completing jobs whenever I can...

Howdy, I save my check ins til Im ready to do 1 hour worth of 3 mins businesses for that hour. I also like just having lots of leftovers, especially when we can have TONS of businesses to get through I only have about 130ish or so. Sharazani. Check-ins: What are you doing with them? That's what I'm doing now...used my check-ins for 3 minutes job hoping to level up quicker. I have 150 checkin left now. Speaking of checkin... I sometimes think that those who give check-ins as gift must be those that haven't read any of the two forums...when I received checkins as gift, I would be thinking--u should read the forum in what to gift! Who give checkins as gift to a mayor at level 50?

I'm in SoCal, and I often think of a cool place or come across a neat place and check to see if it's on my town and... Nope. I wonder how they do come up with the ones that they make available to us.

Every time I get one of these, I think "thank you!" but it's so unfortunate that you do not realize that I already have 400 of these! This is very true, but getting a lightning bolt is still by far the worst thing. I would seriously rather get coins, and I have nearly $102 billion of those. I don't think it matters whether you are at Level 1 or Level 50 - receiving a lightning bolt does nothing for you. Let me explain: 1. It only works on the building you get gifted on, so you can't use it where you would like (as in, say, a building with 4 more jobs until the next level). 2. In multiples, it does quite literally nothing. You can't triple or quadruple your job speed. So like with the VD promotion, three bolts is no better than one bolt. 3. It is strictly worse than a check-in gift. And this is the part I really don't get. When you check in, it is to a building of your choice AND you get a free lightning bolt. Yet a lightning bolt, which carries a restriction on usage, is a separate gift. 4. The lightning bolt is assigned a higher gifting tier than population! Are you serious? What sucks here is that players who don't know better assume it is a better gift. No, population even in its neutered form has some lasting effect. The bolt is the only "temporary" gift and it is just way too weak to be effective. As to my check-ins, yeah, I just save them up. No point is using them if I can't gain exp or popularity for my businesses with the level cap.

Compounding the 2X lightning bolds: 2x--4X--6X, would be particularly good for lengthy 10 hour jobs. I wouldn't mind at all if the 2Xs are made consecutive. Even if they capped the number to 3 at a time, I'd be satisfied. Versus extra bolts just vanishing completely, which is what is happening now.

ashleyegret: Thanks for the heads up! Are the VIP items still available?

Licat, yes the VIP are still available. There are 4 new houses, 2 community buildings (green house and a field) 3 decorations, Mt Fuji (442 green bucks), the quest lady has been replaced by a pen and paper pad, and I havent quite got all the rest. I did bow down and buy the mountain on my ipad, Had to pay for some extra green bucks to help get it. I really like seeing the land shaking, buildings smoking when the earthquake shakes the town and loses all coins from the buildings in 1 shot
