Whisky: Coming straight from a Robin Hood's mouth: so the deal here is that each of us has a jailbroken device, as iTown mentioned above, which enables us to enter the game code through software and manipulate our buck counts. Jailbreaking requires downloading a program which then gets rid of Apple's natural filters and restrictions, allowing you to access content otherwise prohibited by the manufacturer. It is not illegal, although Apple's official position is that they don't support jailbroken devices. This is not news and Booyah is definitely aware that this is going on, so I feel safe posting about it. The fact is, they have never closed this loop and I guess perhaps at present it would require too much work to do it. If you want, any of us RHs would be happy to help out your friend, if you just PM her town name and Booyah ID. You don't have to go it alone -- the fact is it requires way too many bucks, and you should be saving those bucks for things like special or limited content, or franchising of an out-of-area business if you don't want to location switch. I am curious to know where the best instructions might be found for how to jailbreak an iPhone device. Does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks everyone for your terrific tips in this forum. Katie - I'll PM you.

I don't get it, why you have to jailbreak your device to become a Robin Hood?

I don't get it, why you have to jailbreak your device to become a Robin Hood? It is possible to be a small scale robin hood (offering micro franchises - 1 or 2 buck) but whole town/multiple town franchises need some help - it can cost 1000's of bucks to offer franchises if a player has a lot of 3500+ businesses. You need to add a your town id, name and level to your signature - that way you can find out what it is like to visited by a whole town Robin Hood.

Thanks to all of the help from everyone who has ever franchised me I now am able to pay it forward but I have a few questions. Is there a certain amount of people I should franchise each day. Also how many franchises should I do for each person. Just started being an RH last night and have visited quite a few towns.

Anyone getting any help from you should appreciate it, whether you franchise 1 business or the whole town. Most important, you should have fun, so do what works best for you.

yes - as soon as you accept the franchise and the hammers are working go straight to edit - sell - and say yes! You then get a small portion back if you keep a small section of land clear in the top of your town the franchise automatically "lands" there and you don't have to place it! saves time! Raven 29067906 Excellent advice.

So I am trying to be a new Robin Hood. I jail broke my old phone I just want to know, when you are helping a town that only has 1 or 2 businesses that will get the $50 do you immediately sell it and buy it again? I did that on my second town once, and I only got 1 franchise. Any other suggestions? You should not immediately buy, delete and franchise again because the mayor will only get the 1st franchise, unless they immediately pick up the first handshake. That is why it is better to wait until the next day to go back and franchise again, unless you know for sure they picked the first franchise up. What if you don't have a mayor at all?

Louboutin? Not sure what you mean about a mayor? Each one of us is the mayor of our own town -

Guess I was thinking if you didn't have a "Mayor's" house the franchise transaction wouldn't work correctly. Since I don't have a Mayor's house I thought I would need to get one first. Didn't occur to me "I" was the mayor.

Also how many franchises should I do for each person. Just started being an RH last night and have visited quite a few towns. Hey there Sin. I am one of the ones you have kindly franchised, and I just wanted to add my comments to the good advice you've been given. You did an amazing job of franchising every business in my town, and while this is fantastic, I know it's hard work. Don't feel that you need to franchise every business in towns you visit; sometimes it's better to visit a few more towns and just franchise one or two businesses in each. Do as much or as little as you want, but one or two is wonderful for anyone receiving them. Also, another suggestion. By looking at the Thank You thread, you might work out who the regular Robin Hoods are, and if you are going to skip franchising anyone, those are the people to skip. Generally they don't need the bucks, and are happy just to give franchises in return for the odd 'thank you'. I don't want to speak for them all but certainly for myself, I would rather you spent your franchising time on those asking for help in the 'please franchise me' thread. Great job coming on board so quickly to join the ranks of the Robin Hoods!

Great thread. Thanks again to all the Robin Hoods. I am not sure how to get a jail broken device but I will leave that up to the experts. I RH on a small scale by giving out gifts each day which is fun on a smaller scale.

Hey Everyone. Thanks again for everybody that's franchised me. I was able to upgrade some of my businesses, franchising as a thank you, and buy some Nortre Dame buildings so I can start earning more coins. I'd love to get all my buildings upgraded to 10 so feel free to hit me up and I'll gift you or franchise you accordingly. On a separate note, I'd like to be a Robin Hood. Oddly enough, this is actually a really fun game and I'm interested in passing the enjoyment along to others. Is there a way of doing this without jailbreaking my brand new iPhone? Or do I have to spend actual money to get the ball rolling? If I do jailbreak the phone, is it reversible and does it ruin my use of insurance if it breaks? Anyways, thanks again for all your help. You guys rock!!!
