Thank you Amstel, I did not know this. But it makes sense. I just wish I could communicate directly with Mayors who are not forum members and give them advice!

Congratulations, Lynnard - it's a great feeling, isn't it. All Robin Hoods mean a lot to the players still building - every buck counts. You will have made someone's day when they open that town and see a handshake waiting for them.

Yes, newzealander. It felt great to help someone else out, sad thing is i got carried away with it and busted myself in the process yesterday. It went to a good cause, I am still growing myself so I know how PUMPED I get when I see those handshakes. It feels like Christmas morning and you see all those presents. Pure magic!

This is probably a redundant question, but is there a way to get "inside" the mytown file without a jailbroken device? I'm wanting to check it out so I can get more into the RH activities, but am not sure I'm ready to do the jailbreak. Chris Racetam Square 48123116 - Level 74

I can't find the thread/post anymore, can a RH please remind me what percentage of a franchise mayors get? And what do they get if you franchise a business worth only 1 or 2 bucks? Thanks.

Great news that you are in a position to help other mayors, and I know whatever you can do will be appreciated. There is no 'right way' to do this; you should just do as much or as little as works for you. Some people choose to help people that live nearby by just scrolling down the Social tab to get to 'Neighbors', and picking some to visit, then franchising a business or two from each. Others look at the 'Franchise Me' thread in this forum, and pick random mayors from that. Then just add their ID to your Social list, visit their town, pick a business and franchise. You will soon start receiving regular gifts from those who appreciate your help, and you can use this as a prompt to go back and re- franchise if you want. Here's the steps I take; - visit the town I want to franchise from - check their stats for a business over about 3000 popularity so they get the max 50 bucks - franchise the business - load it in my town (tip: have a free space at the top corner of your town for it to land on) - sell the business straight away But you find what works for you. Often newer towns only have lower value businesses, so you may pick the highest value one, or you may franchise more than one business. And my final advice? Don't feel pressured or obligated. Do it in a way that is easy for you, so you enjoy it. Skip a day if you want, and don't feel bad. Happy RH'ing!!!

Another tip if your land is full, franchise directly into your Getaways. My beach is empty so I can put as many as I want into there without affecting my main land.

I'm no where near in a position to be a proper robin hood, but I thought I'd try to help my friend out by franchising one of her businesses in bucks. I managed it by turning off my location service, no problem, but I couldn't afford one of her reasonable business, they cost thousands so the one I afforded for her netted her a mere 5 bucks...which she thinks is great, but it's still gonna take a long time to save up for the good stuff! Is there some secret to being able to do this? CAndyland, barracuda, et al go for the excellent businesses every time ( thank you thank you thank you thank you all times a million!) but I am stumped to see how I can do that to help a friend? Also, can I just delete the crappy business I franchised, it isn't even built yet and I don't really want it Whisky: Coming straight from a Robin Hood's mouth: so the deal here is that each of us has a jailbroken device, as iTown mentioned above, which enables us to enter the game code through software and manipulate our buck counts. Jailbreaking requires downloading a program which then gets rid of Apple's natural filters and restrictions, allowing you to access content otherwise prohibited by the manufacturer. It is not illegal, although Apple's official position is that they don't support jailbroken devices. This is not news and Booyah is definitely aware that this is going on, so I feel safe posting about it. The fact is, they have never closed this loop and I guess perhaps at present it would require too much work to do it. If you want, any of us RHs would be happy to help out your friend, if you just PM her town name and Booyah ID. You don't have to go it alone -- the fact is it requires way too many bucks, and you should be saving those bucks for things like special or limited content, or franchising of an out-of-area business if you don't want to location switch. I am curious to know where the best instructions might be found for how to jailbreak an iPhone device. Does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks everyone for your terrific tips in this forum.
