I'm no where near in a position to be a proper robin hood, but I thought I'd try to help my friend out by franchising one of her businesses in bucks. I managed it by turning off my location service, no problem, but I couldn't afford one of her reasonable business, they cost thousands so the one I afforded for her netted her a mere 5 bucks...which she thinks is great, but it's still gonna take a long time to save up for the good stuff! Is there some secret to being able to do this? CAndyland, barracuda, et al go for the excellent businesses every time ( thank you thank you thank you thank you all times a million!) but I am stumped to see how I can do that to help a friend? Also, can I just delete the crappy business I franchised, it isn't even built yet and I don't really want it

Jailbreaking requires downloading a program which then gets rid of Apple's natural filters and restrictions, allowing you to access content otherwise prohibited by the manufacturer. It is not illegal, although Apple's official position is that they don't support jailbroken devices. This is not news and Booyah is definitely aware that this is going on, so I feel safe posting about it. The fact is, they have never closed this loop and I guess perhaps at present it would require too much work to do it. If you want, any of us RHs would be happy to help out your friend, if you just PM her town name and Booyah ID. You don't have to go it alone -- the fact is it requires way too many bucks, and you should be saving those bucks for things like special or limited content, or franchising of an out-of-area business if you don't want to location switch.

hey everyone! i've been having fun playing a pseudo robin hood(small scale style)! super fun and feels nice to give back!! I don't have the buck supply (or the confidence to jailbreak) the real robin hoods have either (I owe almost my entire buck supply and progress to them) but I'm trying to at least help spread the love a little by helping other up and coming players with tips, gifts, small buck franchises and picking up coin franchises. I go through the towns in my location, checking them out and randomly leaving them gifts. Makes me feel good, gives me ideas for my own town and lets them know that my town exists which sometimes to leads to them franchising me.

Not sure if this is the proper location for this but I have been able to gift more than 5 a day simply by deleting and reinstalling my app over and over first thing every day. My town reinstalls at the last saved point before midnight so I do lose all the gifts past then, but to be able to give to lots of mayors is a small price to pay.
I tried doing this later in the day this morning but it didn'twork so today I've only been able to gift 5.
I have to keep a list of who I gift every day (mostly because I'm a bit compulsive). I really wish Booyah would give us more than 5 gifts a day so this is my way around it.
Anyone else tried this?

I just move my time date settings ahead to different time zones so I'm there before it hits midnight . It depends on how busy I am in a day how many time zones I can visit (its a least 4 or 5) I start in my own time then move to Auckland, NZ (8am my time) then Sydney, Australia (10am my time) then go to Hong Kong then Mumbai then St. Petersburg, Russia then Prague then Dublin then St. John's Newfoundland (10:30pm my time) and finally back to my own time I have to keep a list too.

The Robin Hoods here are on jail broken devices and can alter coding to get more bucks. What I do is keep my location in New York since most of the games popular business are there. So then I can franchise businesses for coins not bucks. Read the thread below for good instructions. Once the property has started building you can delete it if you don't want it. She has to have popular businesses to get 50 bucks though. Assume 2-3k popularity. Good luck. mytown2.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=tips&thread=44&page=1#174i'm trying to be a robin hood on a small scale and can only franchise businesses for coins not bucks. I'm running out of business slots and I've been reading that you can delete the business while it's being built. but for some reason i can't figure out how to do it. The business just gives me a countdown to when it's finished and not an option to sell it (like the handshake icon on my completed businesses). Is there something i'm missing? my device is not jailbroken.

I go to edit mode and sell the business while it's still being built. That will delete it for you. I also use storage to stash my own business so I have a spot open to do franchising.

yes - as soon as you accept the franchise and the hammers are working go straight to edit - sell - and say yes! You then get a small portion back if you keep a small section of land clear in the top of your town the franchise automatically "lands" there and you don't have to place it! saves time! thanks Sardi and Raven i'm so embarrassed that the answer was easy - I even knew it but I was so focused on trying to delete by tapping on the business, I didn't even think of trying it a different way.

Town is really coming together thanks to all the wonderful generosity from people on this forum. Thanks Again! Was wondering if there was a way to get bucks and coins in large amounts without having people franchise out businesses? I have 10 SE's and 2 Notre Dames but the cash flow is still moderate. Any tricks or suggestions?

Finally at a stage where I can do some more Robin Hooding.
For those of you already doing it, do you have a rule of thumb on how many businesses you hit when you visit a town? Or do you determine how many businesses you will franchise depending what you see in the town? (the pop stats/the businesses/the amount of land to clear/ the activity etc.)
Trying to work on speeding-up my process so that I can hit as many franchise requests as I can while not abandoning my regular gifters. Some of the gifters have been like clockwork for 6+ months. Going on three hours tonight and I still have 13 to get to.

Yes, a lot depends on what I see in the town, especially if they have a lot of land to clear and lower pop businesses. Some people just have a standard rule such as franshice XX amount of businesses per town. You should franchise as you see fit and change it up if necessary. Just make sure you are having fun and don't get stressed if you miss some days or can't get to all of the towns on your list. People appreciate any help you can give!

And what happens if one business you already have?! It's challenging to wear the Robin Hood tights, but someone has to do it!

I now wish I hadn't bought so many Booya businesses because so many towns have them. They are the high counters and other businesses won't give the person $50. Maybe we shouldn't worry about how much they are getting. Every dollar helps but I like to make it worthwhile. I've thought about selling most of my Booya businesses and get unique ones BUT talk about bucks!

So I am trying to be a new Robin Hood. I jail broke my old phone I just want to know, when you are helping a town that only has 1 or 2 businesses that will get the $50 do you immediately sell it and buy it again? I did that on my second town once, and I only got 1 franchise. Any other suggestions?

You should not immediately buy, delete and franchise again because the mayor will only get the 1st franchise, unless they immediately pick up the first handshake. That is why it is better to wait until the next day to go back and franchise again, unless you know for sure they picked the first franchise up.
