You're not alone, many players, including me, have had temporarily invisible items. Like JayeGirl wrote, it could be trees, plants, or buildings. Not to worry, this bug has been going on sporadically for months and as far as I know, the items have all eventually returned. I've noticed the item can be invisible for only 1 to as long as 10 days.
I would also recommend not moving the item. I did that and I couldn't find it later on. Or if you do move it, remember where it is. Otherwise, you might try to move other things on top of it which of course won't work.

Lol I did just that - last week with my vanished treehouses - bet I tried to place a new item 10 times before I finally clued in - tapped on empty spot and saw "treehouse" - that's when I realized my treehouses had all disappeared! They were back in a couple of days!

The missing yacht is another one --- nothing left but the person jumping into a puddle and then jumping back out. I might even buy that as a decoration!
So you have a limited edition decoration called smoke but no fire? ;D
Is the firehouse nearby? Capture a screenshot, that would be a great addition to strange screenshots of my town.

Heres a slightly unrelated question if you build a housing, (condo apartments,mansion)....... people or cars will appear according. for my town only the cheap housing (condo, lofts, town house) does what it is suppose to where else the mansion chic appartment european flats.....any expensive housing. nothing appears from it. there suppose to be a limo appearing if you build a mansion or at lease people but nothing help?  !!!!! bests regards: luxury springs:40299700 |

Don't worry. Things go missing all the time. A known quirk of the game. It should reappear in a few hours or days. Almost everyday something in my town is hidden -- I only worry if I can't see the item name and population. It is kind of funny but no its not a hijacking incident and the president is not in danger

Yeah, I've had it happen too. It will return but it is a bit worrisome when it happens. What in the world could you do,without Air Force One?  Wait till you see all your people walking off to outer limits and pile up together. That one is quite funny!  |

Does anyone know if this glitch is still happening? I lost my Kraken some time ago, and now my 80's mansion is hiding. The items also show up in my store but are blank pieces of land or water. Should I contact Booyah or just hope they reappear and nothing else hides?

Should I contact Booyah or just hope they reappear and nothing else hides? It is still happening on a regular basis. My victory archways just reappeared after 2 days. Almost on a weekly basis I have something that hides for a few hours or a few days. If you can't see the population item and name when you hover over the empty space then contact booyah. Otherwise just give it time. Unfortunately I can't visit your beach to see if I can see the items. |

I think they know about the glitch. I haven't contacted them myself but it has been an issue as long as I've been playing (10 months now).
