In the U.S., retailers like Walmart, Best Buy, and Staples will occasionally offer iTunes gift cards at a discount. It's a good idea to keep an eye out for these sales and "stock up" your iTunes account from time to time. I would think that retailers in other countries would offer discounted iTunes gift cards from time to time, but I don't really know. iTunes gift cards were meant to be purchased and given as gifts. However, when they are sold at a discounted price, they're great for filling up your own account. Keep in mind that when you redeem an iTunes gift card, the money goes into a pot that applies to both iTunes and App Store purchases. So, you can use it to buy music, videos, apps, AND in-app items (such as, Booyah Bucks). LATEST: 12/16, Fry's Electronics: 20% off iTunes Gift Cards. This deal is in the Weekly Ad for Fry's Electronics. This one is a brick and mortar (meaning you have make a presence in an actual store) deal, so only applies to those in the U.S. who have a Fry's nearby. Deal ends 12/20. [ goto Fry's Ad]

I like this thread and have taken advantage of one of the sales mentioned here.
Anyone else use this info for discounts on iTunes credits?

Thanks for the replies. It didn't seem like anyone in this forum cared much for the iTunes gift cards. Maybe they just don't realize the value. If they're just drawing from their credit cards for each in-app purchase, they should really consider buying the gift cards when they go on sale. Also, I read about people "breaking down" and purchasing items for real money. Good for them if they used funds from discounted gift cards. Due the to overwhelming reply (I would have just taken one!), I guess I'll go a few more posts on the sales... That is, when I come across them. --------------------- Update: I noticed that the last two times Best Buy had itunes cards as their deal of the day, they "sold out" (in their terms) hours before the end of the day. Just an advanced warning for the next time....

Hello value-conscious shoppers, The following offer is a bit different than the others. Available in U.S. and Puerto Rico, this offer comes to us from CoinStar. Through June 30, get $10 iTunes bonus when you drop $40 (or more) worth of coins at CoinStar*. At $40, that equates to an extra 25% more for free. Read more about it at the link below: www.coinstar.com/SpecialOffersDetail/PromoId/20If anyone does this deal, please post a reply on this thread. I don't think I'm going to participate this time, because I currently have a decent balance in my iTunes account. *If you've never heard of CoinStar, then this deal might sound a little strange. CoinStar stations are like big vending machines. You put your coins (pennies, nickels, dimes, etc.) in and out comes cash or gift cards. If you choose cash, then CoinStar takes a little commission from the total amount. However, if you choose gift card then the commission is waived. They offer gift cards for many shops, including amazon.com (my personal favorite). P.S. I do visit this forum from time to time. YarnG and Licat have been doing a superb job keeping this forum going! Hope all of you are feeling good and doing well.

Best Buy: 15% off all iTunes Gift Cards. This deal is in the Weekly Ad for Best Buy in the U.S. Canada may also offer this deal, but please check with your region's Best Buy stores for confirmation. The deal ends 11/10 or when they've exhausted their inventory. [ goto Best Buy] Keep in mind that Black Friday is coming up, and that iTunes Gift Cards were discounted down by 20% at some shops. However, 15% is still pretty good when it comes to buying apps and in-app purchases for i-devices. And the gift cards can also be applied to apps and full applications (ex. Aperature, Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro) for Macs.
Also, I saw this deal and thought of this forum. I last made a visit 4 months ago and maybe played MT2 once or twice since then. I hope everyone is well and gearing up for the holidays (whatever that means). Cheers!!!!

Thanks to Nyteowl, I went to Best Buy instead of Walmart to get an iTunes card. Greatest thing I've ever heard of... It's money on sale. "I'll give you $2 and you give me 5." Sounds like a deal to me!

Hi folks, I really didn't think anyone looks at this thread anymore. I hope you scored some nice deals over the Black Friday and Cyber Week timeframe. I stocked up a bit on the cards, so I can give my nieces and nephew $25 cards for Christmas. Now, for those of you who is close enough to a Fry's Electronics shop, they are currently offering 20% off iTunes Gift Cards. That's a pretty nice deal, BUT YOU HAVE TO GO INTO A STORE TO BUY IT. That is, they don't offer this deal online. This deal expires on Thursday, Dec 20. So, there is still time! Happy Holidays, everyone!

My first post in this thread... Woo-hoo! At participating RITE-AID Pharmacies, the flyer states $5.00 off iTunes multi-packs (purchaser must present flyer coupon and Member Wellness+ Card at checkout). The picture shows a $30.00 multi-pack as the example. ***Sale dates: March 17-23, 2013 Tip: Flyers are usually available at or near the door, and if you're not a member, my experience is they usually have a "courtesy" card up front they can use. Thanks for the tip!! Yes I have them here. Bubbles!! You reading this!! ;D Hi Ams! I actually DID see a while back and had a nice LOL!
