I just finished renovating. I got rid of lots of extras to get rid of some of the clutter. It's still pretty cluttered but I love my stuff so I couldn't let any more go...maybe I'll delete more stuff soon, who knows. I'm turning into a mytown2 hoarder aghhhh! Anyway, about the Internet wonder. I can't post a pic from my phone but feel free to check out how I have hidden it. I think it's much more disguised now but the way I have it set up will only work if you have a 'city' area with some tall buildings. I love what the Internet does but hate how it looks so I'm glad I was able to hide it...hopefully this works for someone else as well Darkside, Love it!! It took me a second to find it. Also love your amusement park area. Here is a pic of your town.  Thanks!! The amusement park is my favorite thing. Wish I could have a whole town that's just a theme park Thanks for posting the pic...so cool to see my town here. One of these days I'll log in on my computer so I can actually upload pics. Maybe for my next renovation....always renovating something  |

I love what Kush and Darkside have done to their towns. And great idea for a thread. I'm starting to get rid of some things and reorganize a bit so I could use the inspiration.

Oh NOOOOO!!! I am in MT2 renovation hell right now.
I spent a day or two (or three) renovating my entire town for the first time ever and then Booyah brings back some of my favorite decorations.
I was still pretty new to the game when the geysers and spotlights were discontinued and I have always loved those decorations.
Sooooo, guess who just started renovating .... again? lol

Hello. My town is Big Apple. I tried modeling after mid-town Manhattan and the right side of my town are suburbs. I would like some of your Input on how I can remodel a bit. If there is anything I can add or delete, fix, change, move, Etc PLEASE let me know. Thank you all! Didn't want this to get overlooked. Kush, Coolmen, anyone? Not me. I can only give advice on cottoncandy/marshmallow country fairs/amusement parks! Ha! |

If there is anything I can add or delete, fix, change, move, Etc PLEASE let me know. Thank you all! Well the only thing that i can really tell you is that decorations are key! If you look at my town you will see that i have the "Big" items, if you will, in sections and then i surround them with decorations. This gives it a layout that is found in most real cities, if you've ever flown before and looked down at the land you can see that its all pretty much in giant sections, they dont have to be square sections either can be all different shapes and sizes as long as it looks uniform in the end, i found this way to be the easiest and best looking way. I think that this would help you out especially since your modeling after a real city! But this is in my opinion!! ;D Hope it helps you out!! |

Thank you all! i dont really have much of an idea, but you could put houses in sections with trees or decorations and you could also put decorations wih your businesses. keep up what you did with the internet and your town should look really good. My main districts are Paris and New York. I've put the New York wonders with the New York businesses and used trees to make avenues. With Paris I did more of a town square with trees and water feature running up to the Eifell Tower. Check out my town if you want a bit of inspiration.
I also have San Fransisco with my Apple Computer, and I made the Infinite Loop to place it in.
I've done a "China Town" around Mount Fuji.
And done a millionaires area with the golf course and mansions!
