Hi My town 2 players, I am starting this new item thread. The reason being is that when a new item has come out in my town 2 each player in this forum is more than welcome to inform us about this new item. This player can then screenshot the new item in my town 2 and give opinions and facts about it e.g. is the item worth buying or is it giving enough population for it's price....etc . You, Mt2 Players, can write anything about any new items. So please feel free to review any new items that has come out in my Town 2 and review it. Best Regards and Cheers, EuroPacific Town

The new items are junk. The horse stable is huge 3x3 and only gives +755 population. The tents don't even look good. I was hoping to make it look like a tent party by combining them but they don't fit well together. Also the camping tent is so random. Where am i supposed to put that? Maybe if I had more land i would combine that together with the trailer home and make a camp ground...
I'm not happy with any of the new items. Just putting that out there I have a busy city, there's no room for all this medieval, camping nonsense. Give me something more cool please. Tie rack??? Like come on, since when do you see a tie/golf rack in the middle of the city.
Junk ideas!!

I agree with you, I can't believe they pay people to come up with these ideas and they get it all so wrong... Perhaps if they ever actually listened to what we ask for they might get it remotely right.

Like come on, since when do you see a tie/golf rack in the middle of the city. Junk ideas!! You're totally right, Moon. Those new items couldn't possibly be more disappointing. The stable looks like a sad reject from MTA and the art/animation on all of them is so inferior. It's almost like the senior artists are working on Booyah's new games (the zombie one) and we are left with half finished ideas executed by some interns. I love Medieval/Fantasy but this just feels so "unfinished" I may end up deleting most of it. As for Father's Day, the different stands are getting old. How about adding animations to the golf course or having a little guy in a golf cart ride through the city. And there could have been a teddy bear wearing a tie instead of that ugly stand. Look at the artwork on recent community upgrades, including the unreleased items and then compare them to this recent nonsense. There is no way the same people can be behind both. Booyah, bring back the old design team!

Totally agree - I just placed the mansion - out of proportion completely for other mansions and tried stable out and didn't even bother to place it - looked ridiculous - put it back in storage - probably never use it but won't sell it to quickly!! Tents also way to ? Big !?!? Thought they might fit in to my "farmers market" area but no! Hmmmm went into Maisey town Evermore and checked her medieval corner out and the new items definitely look good in her themed area!!!! Raven 29067906

Not "storage" but when i bought package it put it into the store till you want to use it - once you place it - by tapping the green check it's permanently in your town but if you just move it around to see how it fits you can still tap on red x and it will go back to store and stay in store till you decide what to do with it! - does all that make sense!?!? Wat!?!? There is a storage? Not "storage" but when i bought package it put it into the store till you want to use it - once you place it - by tapping the green check it's permanently in your town but if you just move it around to see how it fits you can still tap on red x and it will go back to store and stay in store till you decide what to do with it! - does all that make sense!?!? Raven 29067906 Yes, it makes sense. I didn't even bother looking at the new items in the store after seeing them on the flash screen. I only go into the town once a day as it is to collect coins and give out gifts for the night. After that, I don't bother with it. I've got several items which have been either been purchased or given to me that are still in the store waiting to be placed. You can tell you have items waiting by the little number in the upper-righthand corner of that particular item when you see it in the store. It tells you how many of that item are available. I mistakenly bought three of that mariachi band thing due to lag, so I have two of those packages sitting in there; there are also a couple of Eiffel Towers and some other junk. I refuse to delete any more of what I have just to place inferior-looking items. I've never played the game to see how much money I could get - I've always played it for the enjoyment of building a town which I enjoyed looking at. The new items are purile and poorly rendered. After playing DV and seeing how beautiful the graphics there are, it casts a pall on MT2. I hate to say that, but it's true. I've not played the Zombie game because I have too many games which I play already, but from what I understand, the graphics on that are also very good. I don't know what's happened with MT2; maybe the company is growing weary of trying to satisfy players' demands and are just doing what they want. As for that new land hint, I'll believe it when I see it. It will be just like everything else, though, and I've said this before - as soon as people get new land, they'll fill it up in a day and then start whining about needing even more. I'm here mainly for the forum, not the game itself. I think it's run it's course with me.

I bought 4 packs of the new items (thank you STW glitch) and here's my review:
Overall Pack: for those of you who dont't know, this is for the new Pixar movie, Brave, and if you dont know it, IMMEDIATELY google it and look up the trailers. It is gonna be amazing! I find it weird that theyre releasing items relating to Brave, and not any other movie..
Scottish Mansion: being part Scottish, love the idea...but it doesnt seem as detailed as the other mansions (how do we now have more mansions than regular houses btw?) and as someone mentioned, its fricken HUGE. i had to shuffle it around because it was blocking out one of my other mansions. #firstworldproblems. Hahahaha
Tents: loved the idea, i have 4 of each tent so was gonna make an epic tent city....but theyre so....clowny and undetailed and...ugly. And clunky. Im going to sell em.
Stable: havent placed it or really looked at it but...i kept thinking it was a ruined barn. Hah.
Fathers day items: love the stands actually. For those of you who hate them, see my town. Ive build a kind of market of stands now, which i actually love. They released stands before too and i deleted them (valentines, something else) i wish i hadnt. I didnt realise itd be a recurring theme! I shall have the most epic holiday market in myuniverse!
New community skins: Love. So much win. When we get more land ill be building one of each skin because i think they look great. I already have a few post offices differently skinned and it makes the area look like a real city. Awesomesauce!

As raven pointed out, totally out of proportion. Maybe this stuff came from a different game. Bought the stable hoping I would get a horse running around town. Neeeigh! Nope. Not even. Cheesy comes to mind. The Scottish manor is huge, like the Victorian mansion. But comparing the two in the housing store, the manor doesn't seem as sophisticated. Kind of like pink gingerbread with some chocolate frosting.

Arch - the alien items were tied to Men in Black 3 release. I think the castle coincided with some Disney flick. I find it odd that they chose to release items for movies that they can't really promote without a copyright infringement. They had to rename Godzilla to Lizzy so they won't get sued.

Raven 29067906 Thanks Raven, I know that the new release items are not up to everyone taste but I personally love it. I haven been playing MT llong, and couldn't afford most things when I first started out and end up missing pieces that I really like so being able to purchased new items is very exciting for me!!!

Oceanside- its very interesting indeed how they are tying in their newly released items to movies. I may have said on the forum or in a PM, but I'm surprised the post offices have the USPS logo.

Well, as others have said... I'm glad it's not just me. I thought the new items were bit on the cheesy/cartoony side also. Not as nice as the apartments they released recently etc. I am also disappointed that they seemed to have stopped adding as many characters to items ...it seemed that before, most items came with a character or animal or car (turkey/turkey farm, car or person with housing item, person with community item etc). But now it's almost a luxury. Oh well. At least I don't have to whine about wanting the items but not having anywhere to put them. ;D (that was a joke... Sort of...)

Okay, so i dont hate the stables as much as i thought. Its a little big though.
See my city centre for how i used the stands- i made a cute market. Also, see my northern district for how i used the different community skins. Cant even tell i have like 10 fire stations! Lol
OOOOOOOK NEEEEEW ITEMMMMMS REVIIIIEW
Eco Condo Tower- looooove. Its so pretty. Effin huge, but pretty. I had to plop mine at the map edge.
Redwoods- great for insta plop forest, dislike the awkward path on the base. I managed to optically illusionateify (=P) most of em so u cant see the awkwardness (see my eastern residential district)
Eco musem-- its awkward...but i made it fit. I kinda like it.
Random summer stuff-- again, awkward, especially laying out sunbathing swuimsuit clad people on....grass...but i made it work in my western holiday district (summer village) with the new cabanas. I really like those for some reason. Even managed to fit the guy on the hammock lol.
Thats all i remember rn of the new items....anyone else notice that it seems like we're getting a LOT of park buildings? Guy on hammock, kite fliers, crop circles, fitness park, etcetc... I almost had to made an entire quadrant as a park, but bit my hoarding tendencies and sold off a few i didnt really love.

Think this is an old thread .....but didn't know where else to post this Warning. Please beware if you visit my town....and keep your dogs on leash. One o my TIGERS got loose and I can't seem to catch it. Last saw it near the transportation center, so it could be in your town by now. Love the zoo items! Agree with the posts on the size of the items....Ireally need my toys to all be in scale. Agree that the stable looked goofy. I wanted to work on a farm theme, but don' t like the pens or the tractor shop. Would like to see the crop circles with the cows in The store. I've tried to separate buildings with different scale into different areas, but would probably just sell a bunch, if I knew which scale is coming next....

Lol...that's funny re: tiger
But seriously, most of these zoo items seem to be major space hogs. At first, I thought it would be cool to have a whole zoo around the zoo Skinned business, but after trying to place a few, I quickly deleted them. With space at a minimum and new items coming out almost weekly, there Really isn't a way I could use these new items without deleting stuff and Reconfiguring my town.
What do others think?

Bikini - I agree 100%. It's not a lot of fun having to make decisions about what to keep or sell.
