Hello dear friends! 
Until now I was sending this "tutorial" in PM to friends and members. But it's time to post it here. Is not something revolutionary but actualy something very well known on YouTube.
I was the most fortunate person when our friend DIOSPECTRE started to share with me what he discovered!
In this game there it is a file: "savegame.json" where it is saved all the progress in the game and not only!
It is very important to know how to find, save and reload this file for many reasons - One and the most important: not losing your progress in the game from ... different reasons .
We know many of our friends lost their towns and had to start from scratch. I say that if they have had saved a copy of this file, they could have been reload the file and continue the game from where they were before losing their progress.
This is very simple! You don't have to be an expert! I am not an expert for sure!
Let's start!
You need a computer/laptop , iFunBox for Windows or Mac and your iDevice (iPad, iPhone, iPod)
Some of my friends are using iExplorer.
For this it doesn't matter if your iDevice is Jail Broken or not!!!
On your computer/laptop:
- I supose you already know that your iDevice can be synced with your computer via iTunes - You need your iTunes installed for iFunBox to work!!!
- Download and install iFunBox on your computer/laptop! You can find iFunBox here: www.i-funbox.com
- After the install , start iFunBox!
- Connect your iDevice to the computer/laptop! iFunBox will load all the folders and files from your iDevice! This is what this app does - Let you see what's on your iDevice! It's the same iFile app does on an Jail Broken iDevice but using your computer.
- It will look like this:
Now! Let's find the savegame.json file!
Look at this picture:
Follow this: After you have connected the iDevice and iFunbox loaded the files and folders:
-iFunbox Classic >>> "your iDevice name" >>> User Applications >>> MTGetaways folder >>> Documents >>> LocalFiles >>> savegame.json file <--> this is the file! It will appear in the right side of the app.
Now, just Drag&Drop it on your Desktop! The file will be saved there!
To make it easy later when you'll want to save different instances of your town, make for each savegame.json file it's own folder and put some info in the title. ie: Christmas Decoration, Town empty, Toucan event , etc
Very important!!! Don't overwrite the file when you try to save it in the same place! And don't change the name of the file either!!!
Like I said, save them in different folders!!! You'll be more organized this way!
Ok! Now let's see how we reload a savegame.json file using the same iFunbox app!
First we have to prepare our iDevice:
On your iDevice:
Hard close MT2:Getaways app from the Task Manager (kill the app)!
-If you just played MT2: Getaways close the game pressing once (one click) the "Home" button on your iDevice
-You returned to the home screen
-Double click the same "Home" button again >>> the Task Manager appear at the bottom of the screen
-Search for the MT2:G icon scrolling left to right or right to left >>> when you found it Long press the icon!!! The icon will become "shaky" and a minus sign appear in the upper-left corner of the icon >>> press that minus sign!!!
-Done!!! The game app is hard closed! It doesn't run in backround anymore!
Now your iDevice is ready!
On your computer/laptop:
-Start iFunbox!
-Connect your iDevice at the computer/laptop - DON"T DISCONNECT IT UNTIL YOU HAVE FINISHED THE OVERWRITE PROCCES!!!
-Search again the location of the savegame.json!
-To make it easier put the savegame.json file you want to reload right next to the iFunbox window app!
Look at this picture:
-Now , just Drag & Drop the savegame.json in the right side of the iFunbox app! Look at the file size changing!
Because no overwrite warning appear the next step is very important!!!
-Press "REFRESH" button found on the iFunbox tool bar!!! Press it (click it) several times to be sure!!!
On your iDevice:
-While still connected to the computer/laptop - Start the game! Start MT2:Getaways!
And there you have it! Your file it was reloaded!
This trick is very useful when Changing locations!!!! I'll explain!
Everybody know how to change location, right?
First time when you try it is ... "free"!
Example:
I just installed the game and my original location is Madrid, Spain!
I Turn off the location service in the iDevice settings and when I start the game this is asking for a location to be able to continue playing!
I chose New York! I franchise for coins the businesses I want from New York and I found out in Paris are great business too!
I want to go to Paris now!
But the game does't let me to change the location unless I delete the app and reinstall!
Here comes the tricky part - it happend to me, It happend to many members!
If the servers didn't updated yet and I delete the game right away- all my businesses I bought from New York will disappear once I reinstall the game!!!
Solution to this ?
After I bought from New York - I save my savegame.json file!!! This will save my New York businesses in it!
Then I delete the app and reinstall it! I don't care the businesses are not there for now!!!
Here I change the location to Paris!!!!!
After that I reload the savegame.json file ! The one with the New York businesses!
I continue to franchise all I need from Paris!
This way you don't have to wait for the servers to update!!!
BUT - the servers have to update your town with all your recent bought businesses in order to be seen by your friends!!!!
I hope this will help someone! It's ... a long post, I know! But very useful!
