I'm starting this thread to kick off Christmas decorating of our towns. Feel free to post seasonal town decorating ideas, creative use of items from other releases that you have reinterpreted as Christmas items, pics of towns or getaways decked out for Christmas. Some of us have already started decorating while others are waiting for the new Christmas releases. Let's hope they don't wait until the 21st to release the Christmas items for this year. Winter wonderland ideas are also welcome. I'm not sure if there will be any official Hanukkah or Kwanzaa themes released but feel free to share if you celebrate these holidays and use other items to represent your celebrations. To kick things off I've created a Christmas village in the middle of my town and I'm using the wild west train as the 'Polar Express'. I may have to sacrifice the village if I like the this year's Christmas releases better and need the space. The Elf walking through the train station was just good timing. The ghost didn't want to miss out on the fun.

Here is my interpretation of Rockefeller Center in NY. I also added the train tracks to bring them to Santa's workshop.

Sni, I love the cul de sacs about the tree. Coincidental timing of the fire truck!
And looking good Ams.
Can't wait to see more as they release more items.

Haha Sardi - I didn't even notice the truck but it kinda looks like yellow snow... Which is funny bc I did have the bulldogs in town this weekend.
Carol - can't wait to see what you make of your items.

You'll get to the point where you can decorate the way you want too. Most of us have been playing for 8 months or more. It takes a bit to clear your land (goes faster depending your business, housing and wonder choices as well as franchise action). Once all your land is paid for then all your job and franchise income as well as extra savings from income earning stage can be devoted to decorating your town.

These Christmas scenes are beautiful.
I can't wait until the Christmas stuff comes out this year and I can do some Christmas decorating of my own.

I started playing last year right after Thanksgiving and seems like it was only a week or so that they put out the Christmas items and the town was covered in snow. I didnt save any of my Christmas from last year so I am very anxious for it to arrive.
Love all of your decorating!

I love all of your Christmas decorated towns! They look beautiful! I wasn't playing last Christmas, so I have to wait to decorate. I have been decorating my real house though. I tend to go overboard.

Of course, Christmas in NZ would be more suited to our beach scenes than the main town, but since Booyah only makes snow covered Christmas buildings, I have gone with a winter scene...with Santas workshop as the centrepiece. Attachments:

Looking good Kiwi.
Think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and delete or store a few more things so I have more room to work with.
For this part of Canada, a white Christmas is actually wishful thinking. We hope like mad for some snow on Christmas morning but it is more likely to be a brown Christmas. We get most of our snow January to March yet places around us get blasted with snow. I miss Summer Christmases in Oz and spending Boxing Day at the outdoor pool in my Grandma's small town and Christmas Day picnics.
