So I suddenly starting having these sound issues on my iPad 2 and it boiled down to the dock connector thinking it's still docked to something. It charges fine and the sound works with headphones and I hear the "click" when I unlock even without headphones. But sounds from apps such as my town, youtube, video, and music, etc etc the sound controls are disabled..
e.g when I open a youtube video there is no sound thingie to turn it up or down.
I looked at every scenario, finally I brought it to Apple and they said that the dock connector short circuited because of water (what water I never got it near water) and all they could do is replace it, but since it is out of warranty it would cost $250 out of my pocket...
I called a iPhone repair shop and they said since the dock connector is still recognizing the charger then that means that it's fine, and all I have to do is a factory restore through iTunes, and a back up of all my data..
Question is, what happens to My Town 2?
If the restore brings me back to a new game, can I have Booyah transfer it over since it will be a whole new device again?
Or will the backup save everything?
I don't want to lose it.. I've had my little town forever it seems..
