Hey, I am new to the site and appreciate all the info. I haven't seen a discussion on what people think the best use of bucks is, and since they are so hard to come by I would like to use them wisely. Mt. Fuji? Another Wonder? A community building? A housing development? Thanks!

A housing development? Thanks! The best use of bucks......well they should be used for shopping of course!! ;D To get that item you really, really want whether it is practical or not!! The items you are talking about are game strategies and it really depends on the level you are on. Mt. Fuji wouldn't make sense to get if you have 4 businesses- but a must for all towns. Community buildings are needed to get to the next level, so if you need them, get them. Ditto Ams - Mt. Fuji sure is a must if you have a lot of business. I guess next would be the Internet upgrades. But in the end, get what you want for your town - that's what makes the game fun!

Okay, so switch locations to franchise some businesses with higher pop (popularity?) by using coins instead of bucks.
Maybe get rid of some of my lower pop ones?
Higher pop businesses are ones that more people own and therefore are getting checked into?

Freud - there seems to be a mix of variables going into popularity, but stick with higher than 3500 pop businesses and you should be good. You'll also see an increase in your job payouts for coins with the higher pop businesses. You don't need to fill your town with them... Just a few to help get you those 50 buck payouts when franchised will do. There are also people who like to help out and can only afford to franchise the lower pop ones so it's good to have a few highs and lows and whatever you want for the rest!

And whatever you do, Do not switch your location back until the server updates or you will loss everything. The server updates at all different times, so to be safe I usually wait around 4 hours. |

Freud the high pop business is still the first thing to get going but once you are increasing population and building coin you can go the stock exchange route or notredame wonder route - the stock exchanges only cost 30,000 coin vs 85bucks for notre dames - that is why SE is more popular! Choose housing that gives good rent ie High Rise Condos or if you can afford Chic Apartments (check thread in housing) but these two also take up very little space - the SE gives 20% and ND gives 25% increase - so you could use both! This will help get you coin to clear land! Then after all land is cleared is when you start making your town look like you want it to! Another wonder that is overlooked is the space station - it increases population and allows for faster business purchasing! |

Thanks! I was saving every penny for the Internet, now I need to build a couple things to get my population up so I can get another business. Or would you suggest selling off my low pop ones, even though they are level 9s? Thanks so much for the advice! |

You could sell a few of them. You've got a lot under 100 popularity. Hang onto a couple if you have a sentimental attachment to them and b/c you just need 1 level 10 business to receive buck gifts. The under 100's aren't great income earners even once you hit level 10 and they help very little as a buck source. You could also stick a couple in storage that will open a couple of spots.

Will spend a bit more time in San Fran until I'm sure its been saved and updated then move on to NYC, maybe Paris...

i spent a whole month watching 4 videos to earn one buck and it pretty much got me no where and i couldnt believe how many bucks i got from people on this website helping me out and franchising my businesses i wasted so much time earning one buck every 5 minutes!! i am so happy i found this forum and am so appreciative of the people who have helped me get to this point. however, i now have so many bucks and i don't know what to buy with them because i don't want to just waste them. i am at level 37 i believe and i really need some advice on what to spend my bucks on. thanks any feeback will help!! check my town out to give even better advice.

This is what I would consider
1) Will it help my town? i.e. the revenue enhancing wonders, storage space or labour saving wonders (internet spots/fuji), high rent housing
2) Get the limited edition items when they are offered or you'll regret not getting them when they are gone.
3) You won't have the room to add everything they offer so for the decoration / community items so buy the things you really like or fit a theme you are building for your town. If you just buy everything then you'll run out of bucks, out of storage and out of land.
4) If you are not at buck gift level yet then I would upgrade 1 business to level 10 so gifts help replenish your supply.
I've been a blitzer most the time I've been playing so I wouldn't spend bucks on finishing construction or expanding - almost all of did my building/expanding with the instant hammer.
