I know I am kinda slow, but I tried this and the business I want, quick, can still only be purchased in bucks. I have changed my location once, to new York, and do not know how to change it again. I don't know how to delete my game but save the data. Oh well. Would love to have Paris businesses. Circleview 37047475 Check out the thread " How to buy all businesses in coins not bucks" in the tips/hints section. There are detailed instructions on how to do it. I was a little leery at first but it is really very easy,and I do it all the time now. In fact I'm in Paris right now. Take the time to read the whole thread because if you change too quickly before the servers update there can be problems like losing items you bought. |

I have read that thread a billion times! I still don't know how to delete an ap but save the data. I am almost 52 and not that computer savvy. I am playing mytown 2on an I pad , the first version. I probably need a 12year old to do it for me. Anyway, I still would love to change my location for the second time to Paris. I appreciate all responses. Am I a hopeless cause? Haha

Adrianblade, Which device are you using? I am having trouble doing this with my ipod touch (I guess cause I do not have 3g?) I'm using the newest gen of iPod Touch so it should work o.o |

I have the new one also. However, I follow your trick step by step and the population stays the same, but in order to franchise it I have to have 614, 000 bucks (not coins, which I could handle, but bucks  ) Crazy... I do have my location set to New York so that isn't the problem. When wifi is on, I can buy in coins, but when it is off, it shows bucks  |

I got those businesses from there so maybe you can do it that way? |

I thought I was quick, but the only time I can get a high pop business (and mine aren't that high pop) is to snag one right after I first log on and there's a bit of lag. That extra split-second is what I need to get these old fingers moving beyond the speed required to wrap them around either a ciggie, lighter, or coffee cup handle.
Gee... I have such a wide, varied, and healthy diet...

Aite guys...I might be putting myself out there, but here it goes:
I know I'm not the most technical person so I was feeling a little 'slower' when I couldn't get the franchise steps to work either. But, now I feel a little better knowing some of you are having the same issue as I am. I follow the steps and still have to pay a large buck amount to franchise.

This Cheat Makes Buisnesses from Booyahtopia cost 1 buck put your idevice on airplane mode the try that the conection does not go away. then go to booyahtopia and click on a buisness and it will cost you 1 buck  little new york ID:31118792 |

I can not get it to do coins What works for me (i only changed location once to NYC, but had to delete and re-download the game per Booyah's advice) when i try to get businesses from NYC and they cost bucks, is to exit the menu and click on check-in. Then I go back to the menu and can franchise in coins. |

1. You have to turn off location services and
2. sometimes you may have to hard restart MyTown2:
a. close out of the game.
b. double-click home button
c. hold finger on MyTown2 icon until red minus sign appears.
d. Tap minus sign on MyTown2 App icon. Icon will disappear.
e. Restart MyTown2
3. Check in to a business in the town you want to franchise in.
At this point you will be able to franchise the business with coins.

I franchised their Booyah for 4 bucks and it had a popularity of 32 (the most popular business). Went back with airplane mode off and it had a popularity of 5,000-odd. I used bucks to upgrade it from level 1 to level 8 (thanx Geordie!) and it's now pulling £5m for a two hour job, so it's better than the business I deleted (I think), but, well, ya know....  |
