There is always the coffee machine. Plus the canteen opens at half 1 so I can get a proper coffee, or a can of relentless if I do so wish lol!

I do an odd continental type shift of 12 hours! Both days and nights! It's only 3 nights though! And I get paid what I consider to be really well. Lol

I did 3 night shifts in a row once and I actually thought I was going to die. Even 2 are awful. Actually, working nights at all is evil. I do everything possible to avoid night shifts.
As for the weather.......I actually melted at work today, just like an ice cream.

I've stalked this post enough I thought I better finally write something, although I'm doing this as I'm off to bed so I'll hopefully give you some banter tomorrow. I'm from the 'proper north' i.e. Scotland although this week I swear I'm in spain with the weather we've been getting, even on the typically cold, windy, east coast. As for my tuppence worth on night shift: HATE IT, i only have to do it on rare occasions but I usually work the 12hrs then sleep for 12hrs, get up and do it all over again, I don't even see daylight which isn't such a big deal since I only do it when I'm stuck on platform in the middle of the North Sea. Ok signing off, don't stay up too late (marchfalls I guess you don't have much choice, hope the night passes quickly)

Lol, @ melted like an ice cream! I actually put a big fan in the living room earlier to stop me melting.. must be a terrible puddle on your keyboard lol. I've never worked nights but I agree... Evil stuff, I don't know anyone that copes well with them. They would put me out of kilter for ages. Welcome u03d!!! Glad you stopped lurking and shouted out. I noticed you out of the corner of my eye lol. I'm North West of England and also an official Northerner Sorry, ended up having a friend popping in so not been doing a good job of keeping March awake lol and going to bed pretty soon! I know, I know... I'm a lightweight lol.

Well I've lived in London for a year and Devon for 6, my ex husband is a southerner and my ex boyfriend lol so don't consider yourself too alone. I'm an honorary southerner!
I'm hoping we'll have some overseas delegates drop in and say hello to us!?
Did anyone do the location switch for the New York franchise, and if so did you have any problems with it?
Are you onto coffee yet March?

I used to be part of a Newcastle Theatre Company and we used to visit Ilfracombe to take part in an annual arts festival. So different to the busy city life of Newcastle.
