MT2 Scavenger Hunt #2 (Closed)

Scavenger Hunt #1

This event will last approximately 5 days, from Saturday, 03/17/12 to Thursday, 03/22/12. The event will be closed as of 9pm EST on that date, with no further entries taken and answers posted shortly thereafter.

14 people participated in the first scavenger hunt - well, this one is going to be a bit harder so stay focused and keep your eyes sharp!!! Basically, I'm gonna ask you to go exploring the world of MT2, from Maryland to Germany, and "find" me things around certain towns. Finishing ahead of your fellow mayors is important; you get more karma by being among the first to find all the items. But accuracy is also important: you get less karma if you fail to find what I'm looking for.

RULES

1. Add the following Booyah IDs to your friends list: 29856472, 29234503, 29991132, 29239802 & 29549820. These will be the towns you'll visit to find the items. *NOTE: You may want to add these one at a time to make them easier to find when you check your friends list.

2. In each town, I'll have two groups of things for you to find. Find them, get the answers, then send me all of the answers over private message. DO NOT POST THE ANSWERS ON THIS THREAD.

3. The first person to find everything correctly gets +15 karma. 2nd & 3rd get +12 karma. 4th-10th get +8 karma. Everybody else from 11th onward gets +7 karma. I will announce the winners at the end of the week and award the karma immediately. If anybody submits an incorrect entry (but answers everything in good faith), they will be awarded +5 karma for only one wrong answer; +4 karma for two wrong answers; and +3 karma for more than two answers. If anyone fails to answer a question but submits an answer sheet with at least some questions answered, they will receive +1 karma.

4. BONUS: The first person to submit an answer sheet and get everything correct will be awarded 3 buck franchises from me in addition to the karma. The prize will be awarded as of Thursday night after full results have been posted.

5. The whole thing should take maybe 30-45 minutes to do. Good luck!!!

ALRIGHT, HERE ARE THE SCAVENGER HUNT QUESTIONS:

1. In 29856472, how many of the following community buildings are in this town?

a) Police Station
b) Post Office
c) High School

2. Same town, what is the nationality of the flag located next to the newsstand?

3. In 29234503, name the two businesses in town that have the exact same street address.

4. Same town, name a business that lovers might take their photograph next to?

5. In 29991132, find and list all of the Wonders that are located there.

6. Same town, find and list all of the businesses that are NOT from Zurich, Switzerland.

7. In 29239802, what are the total number of bus stops that can be found in the town?

8. Same town, where can I go to:

a) See a live lion?
b) See models of original aircraft on display?
c) Get a toasted sandwich with chips and a drink?

9. In 29549820, find the closest eating establishment that a VIP person might be able to walk to from his house?

10. Same town, if space travellers arrive in the town, what community buildings will be surrounding them when they land and reach the ground? (HINT: Do not look past the immediate strip of land they would end up on.)

I was thinking the same thing, graded test for a living, kinda the same thing. To be fair, I don't think he has been online these last few days. Guess real life got in the way of the forum time, which unfortunately happens to us all.

You don’t even have to think about this one if you played it already and have the results in your outbox. And yes, Solsville will take care of all the forum rewards. The buck franchises will come from the Robin Hood who is cool enough to buy ice cream from the ice cream truck and eat it at the picnic table, fearlessly staring down the bear. (You know who you are… ☺)

Remember to PM me your results or if you have any questions. Solsville will be very busy taking care of closing out the EPIC hunt.

Newcomers, most of the towns in this hunt have been modified so if you want to play, keep that in mind.

thanks for doing this snibull. btw how did you finish. I know I missed the bus stop question, there were so many of then you just saw a corner of the stand, also probably wouldn't have gotten the picture place in the original version. Congrats licat and ashleyegret.

Thanks Judy (from Rubyland!). I wasn't going to use my results as anything but a guide. But, and here goes the but, when I went to my outbox on Sunday to review the entries, my outbox had maxed out and deleted earlier PMs, which meant I was going to have to have to do the "most duplicated answer" grading! I did go back to 2 of the towns, the high school and # of wonders ones, and they had not changed at all! ... Kind of makes me wonder if they were staged by BB. Guess we'll never know!

Lesson to all: Print out your hunt results! ...or don't PM as much, lol
