Welcome all mothers, aunties, sisters, grandmothers, nanas, and daughters! This is the first Mother's Day for the forum and with Solsville's approval, there will be a special reward left for you on Mother's Day. This is a Mother's Day reward event - Father's Day is in June so guys... your turn will come soon  The rules are simple: All you have to do is post your town name and ID in this thread so you can be rewarded! If you want to leave a post for another mom in the forum or your own mom (even if she's not on the forum) you are welcome to do so. The reward is simple: It is a reward for you and you won't know what it is until Mother's Day. It could be a gift, a franchise, an exalt, a virtual hug. Happy Mother's Day to all of our Mothers! And don't forget to visit the thread for Yarn Goddess-our Forum Mom. This event is officially closed as of 05/14 @ 6AM EST. |

I waited so long to be a mother. I am so grateful to be a mom. I wouldn't be a mom if it wasn't for someone else. I want to thank her and tell her, even though she is probably never going to read this, that her baby is a wonderful young woman. Thank you.

I'm not a mom even at the age of 50, I would Love to wish my Mom a Happy Mothers Day. My Mom has been threw a lot with me "Those terrible teen years" and the real hard times threw life. She is 70 years old and still works. I love you Mom!!!! ;D

I'm sure you all are nice mothers I miss having a mom around---my own won't talk to me anymore (coz i wont quit smoking and go back to her church) and she's mean... Thank you YG for being a good friend and a mother figure for me. Happy mothers day to all!! I feel like I have a family again Hubby and I is a family of two. But here I have a family with all the brothers and sisters and mother and many others!! |

For all the ladies of the forum, older moms (me), moms of teens, school moms, new baby moms, soon to be moms, and of course aunts, cousins, babysitters, and Friends, Happy Mother's Day. Hope everyone has a wonderful day spent with family or friends. My plans include eating, visiting my mom, spending time with my sons (even if it is only by phone) and then doing nothing.

I'm a mother of two great kids and grandmother of a 5&9 yr old darling boys! Daughter and boys 10 hrs north and son 20 hrs south! Play animal town with oldest grandson via phone:) we have fun with it! Have a happy mothers day everyone! And Ashleyegret I can be a long distant grandma!! This Mothers Day I am twice blessed. I am a new mother; my beautiful daughter Emma is 3 months old, after taking many many years and many many tries to get here to us. I also have the best role model in the world in my own mother. She has taught me what unconditional love is all about, and when Emma was born I had no doubt what she meant by 'a love like no other'.
But this Mother's Day I want to acknowledge another group; and this was me a year ago. To all the women who have wanted to be mothers, but for whatever reason it hasn't been their destiny, you are an amazing bunch. You become loving aunties, big sisters, babysitters, special friends, and godparents. You have something unique to offer our children, and I thank you for that. You deserve a special day of your own.
EDIT: Thank you to 3cats for reminding me that there are birth mothers out there who also deserve a special mention. Isn't the world a wonderful place?

I'm not a mother, even if I really would like to become mother soon... But, while waiting, I will be the aunt of two beautiful twins (Mia and Zoe) in August! And maybe (you know.. Genetics is unpredictable), it will happen the same to me one day ;D

I am most grateful to be the mother of two wonderful children - my daughter who is married and lives in CT and my son who is married with 2 beautiful girls lives in the DC area - they are great because they keep up with their mom and always make me feel special. Being their mom has been the best part of my life. ;D |
