crownroyal: You had me laughing ;D. I can't find the post--someone wrote that the free Shinto Shrine gives ~12,000 in population. Is this correct? Or did I hallucinate the post? Does anyone know? I'm still undecided on spending my Bucks on Mt. Fuji. I'd like to hear the pros and cons. Thanks! EMERGENCY ALERT!!! EMERGENCY ALERT!!! Du e to Mt. Fuji's eruption part of the main highway at EdMarv's City is CLOSE until further notice ( Booyah we need more land ) So as you may know, member Macho Alpha was able to acquire Mt. Fuji and the Shinto Temple before their release date, supposedly through data hacking. Wonderland ID # 34050422 Strangely, the "Shinto Shrine" is called the "Japanese Shrine," but it is unquestionably the same structure that Booyah previewed. It gives a population boost of 12,500. Macho Alpha also claims to have uncovered (and built) two forthcoming wonders known as "The Mothership" and "City of Lost Gold," although when we investigated they were not there - and noticably he was missing some of his structures and decorations such as roads and hedges. We'll wait and see if he pops back on to explain. Okay, Mt. Fuji pros and cons IMO: Pros: - Very cool erupting animation and continuously spews smoke while inactive - Allows you to collect all your coins, stars, and check-ins with a simple shake that causes your screen to rumble and quake - Instant collection of coins is useful and convenient and frees up screen to collect gifts and set new jobs - Adds a majestic look to your town...and it is nice to see a wonder of nature (previous wonders have all been man-made structures) - Adds a new element to the game Cons: - Certainly overpriced for what amounts to a cool gimmick - Takes up a lot of space (similar to the Bio Dome) - Can cause some annoying temporary glitches like you not being able to tap the top of the screen without zooming in or cars moving sideways, and sometimes the shake flips your screen upside-down - Does not stack as most other wonders do (similar to Great Pyramids) - Does not actually make you any money or speed up any building rates (unlike every other wonder)

barracuda bay: Hey there! Thanks for your insight! It's much appreciated and helpful to read all in one place.
hmmm glitches...doesn't make money...takes up lots of space. awww...such cool graphics!
I'm back to saying 'no'. But my son says "aw, heck it isn't real money--spend it!"
Still, I'm leaning towards 'no'. Thanks!! *You've been exalted!*

@barr: I saw the Mothership he was talking about. I can't remember what special thing it gave. It wasn't a "+20% to blahblah". It was something else.
So yeah. It does exist. I don't know why it's not showing now though.

Barracuda,
Thank you for that amazing information. I do have the mountain myself because I really wanted it. As for it being as big as a Metro museum shoe thingie, I just had to see the comparison of the Mt Fuji and the Metro Museum. The Museum is actually bigger. I tried putting the museum in the same place my mountain was in. Mt Fuji is the same size as the Pyramid, and the Bio Dome. The metro museum is the same size as the circus and it is bigger as well in square footage compared to theother wonders. Sorry Barra, I dont mean to be a nusance or a defender. Just wanted to make sure of the size.
I agree with your pros and cons, however, the real pro is able to shake, and see all the coins, stars and check ins get automatically put in their place and not have to accidentally hit the "upgrade button" when setting the job with the coins blocking the view of the jobs to chose from.
Hugs and smiles!
Sharazani.

Hugs and smiles! Sharazani. I took a second look and you are correct - Mt. Fuji is the same size as the Great Pyramid and the Bio Dome; the Museum is larger, as is the Circus. I edited my discussion to be accurate. Still, the bottom line remains the same: it's just too damn big. I understand it needs to be imposing, though. The only reason why it being big is even a con is due to Booyah's lack of a land update. For those with ample land available to them, the size isn't an issue. For me, it was a pain to fit. And yes, the fact that the coins, stars and check-ins go straight to their proper places and help prevent accidential upgrades from quick tapping is very nice as a side effect. The fact is though, the upgrade button should not even be there right below the job timers and should not be done instantaneously with no option for the user to cancel. We shouldn't be praising Mt. Fuji as a fix to what amounts to bad design on Booyah's part. Thank you Licat, for the exalting! It is good to be of service. I do want to add though that ultimately I LIKE Mt. Fuji and I do think people who have the bucks should get it. It is wasteful, yes, but such a guilty pleasure and it does serve some utility (unlike the Lucky Chance Casino, which literally does nothing productive for you and I am convinced may not even work).

*chuckle* I read both of your posts. The discussion is great. I managed to clear a spot for Mt. Fuji. But if I fill it, I will not be able to move anything around--my town will be jammed pack...unless I *gasp* sell off some of some of my SEs. Say it ain't so! Only yesterday I inadvertently spent 80 Bucks but by deleting the app and then reinstalling a copy, I was able to recover the 80 Bucks. I was lucky. So the shaking is definitely a 'pro'. Gosh darnnit. We NEED MORE LAND!!! Thanks to you both. sharazaini, I'll be exalting you...

Speaking of which, while this is a digression and I will undoubtedly discuss this further in a separate thread, prepare yourselves for a laugh at Booyah's expense.
Okay, so let's talk about the Lucky Chance Casino for a moment. I don't know how many of you have the misfortune of owning this miserable piece of doggie doo-doo. It is unquestionably the worst wonder in the game.
Now you might think that if Booyah released a wonder that you could not obtain with coins or bucks - that you HAD to spend real money to get, and which cost about 4 times the price of buying a traditional Apple application - it would be MIND-BLOWINGLY AWESOME.
But no, no, no, no. This is Booyah we are talking about here. Now I won't say the wonder does not look sick. I mean, it resembles a glitzy slot machine and has a freaking roulette fountain! And if someone says, "Well, I bought it for the look!" then I totally get it. Next to the Championship Stadium, it is probably the best looking wonder.
However, it does nothing. "Ha, ha, silly Barracuda and his exaggerations." Yeah, I am not kidding around. Supposedly it makes money for you by giving you a 5% chance of getting double your coins when you click on housing or a business. So 1 out of 20 times you click on something, you get double coins.
Even if this really happened, it would be awful. Do the math. If you have a bunch of stock exchanges and randomly get 50 million off a building that makes you 25 million, is that even a big deal? And if you are hard up for coins and make 300 coins off a building that makes you 150 normally, are you better off? Mind you, the odds are only 1 in 20 that this occurs anyway.
But the truth is, I've never seen this thing ever double the coins on anything. Maybe they should have had a bright red "x2" come up to highlight the fact when it happens. But hell, I specifically look sometimes to see if twice the coins are coming down and I just plain cannot for the life of me say I have ever concretely gotten this bonus. Of course, when you tap quickly or use Mt. Fuji, you will NEVER be able to tell.
Ugh, what a waste.

Sorry for the stupid question but how do I do the karma raise for you?
I enjoy reading all your posts even if I am not a member. Feel free to drop by and franchise to your heart's content. I recently cracked the top 100 on the leader board if anyone is looking for some good businesses.
Thanks again pekman...I'll give you more pop tomorrow

Jtown: Look in the left hand column where the name and a bit of information about the person is shown; you'll see "Exalt" and "Smite". Click whichever one you like. The curious thing is that the words appear and disappear, and I don't know why. btw, Jtown, why don't you register and add your name to our community?

Barracuda Bay - YouTube is your friend As for the Mothership, it was not a Photoshop trick. I actually saw it in Wonderland's town, and it even sends a beam down. It did look very cool. But after someone posted a pic of it, he removed it. I think Wonderland is a coder and knows how to reveal new stuff that Booyah has not launched yet. That's how he got Mt Fuji to appear before it was even offered on the market. @new Johnstown - The Max in population indicates that it is the max amount of businesses you can get. The actual population keeps going up if you get gifts of build more housing, etc. The reason we want it is because we anticipate that with the new update and more land, we will need the pop to support more businesses. licat - The Shinto shrine give 12,500 population. You can see it in Wonderland's town. I was a bit more than annoyed at the server down issue. When I tried to return gift and franchise, I completely lost the towns that I was going to franchise from. So, for those of you who gifted me yesterday and I did not franchise back, I'm very sorry. I managed to see two names, Pamiam's (sp.?) Town and Moose. But I lost a few others. Also, this meant that when it was working again, I had to spend well over an hour to franchise towns. Aargh!!

Hi everybody! Long time lurker, first time poster! I figured since i'm on here pretty much all the time reading, i mine as well join in on the fun! Gotta first give thx to cAndy Land and pekman for franchising my businesses. u guys are awesome!!! Funny thing happened to me today...as i went to collect pekman's $50 franchise, i noticed the handshake bubble was slightly off screen...my business is at the corner of the 7x7 lot but it seem like it was a little further away from my building. so i clicked on it and got my $50 but the handshake bubble didnt go away, i clicked on it again and got another $50!! this went on for about 5 min! i went from having $250(thx to cAndy Land and pekman) to having $2500 in a matter of minutes!!! i was gonna do this all night but alas, the handshake bubble went away lol oh well, it was fun while it lasted. i quickly went and splurged on all the wonders i wasnt able to get before this incident happened! i dont know whether this is a glitch from booyah or if pekman hacked into the program to help out the needy i like to think it's the latter...but regardless it was much needed!!! just curious...has this happened to anyone? kechibam 29095726

Hey Licat, me and my best friend here just had a peek at your town! O.o Got enough "Doubles" of community buildings?!? LOL She told me if you had but got rid of the doubles of community buildings while keeping 1 of each, then you would have ROOM! LOL Court houses, banks, playgrounds, you have 3 subway stations!! I enjoy looking at them all, altho I think she is right.. Anything that only costs coins to buy, you only really need 1 of each of the community buildings But still quite interesting.. Cheers Sharazani *chuckle* I read both of your posts. The discussion is great. I managed to clear a spot for Mt. Fuji.
