I think you will earn 50 bucks from Godiva chocolatier from now on. ;D Helped a little. A few rounds of refranchising from Snibull big town, cost was 496, last round I did cost was 509. Thank you!!! I don't know how to explain this and we can move this discussion over to a different thread, but I received 3 franchises on Godiva last night: Shadow gave 14 bucks PreciousVille gave 46 bucks K-city gave 50 bucks Thank you all for the franchises and the pop is greater than 3500 so woo hoo! But... Multiple franchises don't work and where is shadow's location to franchise for such a low amount?! Snibull 30719277 Madmod- Follow this for the same discussion on pop.

Hey, sorry I'm new to the board. I've read most of these Franchise discussions, but I haven't actually tried Franchising someone's business yet. What does it do exactly?

Franchising is a way for players to give each other either coin or bucks - depending on location -
the player doing the franchising doesn't usually keep the business but sells it immediately -

incronaut, It all depends what the stage of the game you are playing at. If you are at the stage of initially acquiring your businesses, building for your town and generating revenue then franchising is the other option beside getting them through the business search. It does help the player you buy it from and all the jobs on it are free. I've gone the franchise route to get all the businesses I have for my town. Franchise vs purchaseWhat you really want is people franchising your businesses. You get coins or bucks depending on how far they are away from you. If you franchise someone then they might reciprocate. And to raven's point, If you are the stage where you are coin and buck rich and you have all the businesses you want then you can franchise other players to help them out then delete it. You should put your booyah id, level and and town name in your signature so we can franchise you.

Should know by now...but can't figure out how to buy or franchise some more of the top businesses. The last try was from the store with no location set. I decided on 7-Eleven Market, for 3 bucks. They have several NAME businesses, but now they are 5 bucks. Have had the 7-Eleven for a couple of weeks, upgraded to level 10, and some franchisers visited, but it has never risen over 57 pop. So it remains a low earner. Don't want to make that mistake again. The stores, formally in booyahtopia, are still there but you can't gage popularity or even location. Does that mean you need to search for someone with a business from...Booyah St , My Town, CA.?? Or would you still not be able to get their popularity?
When the change to getaways happened, I reset my location to Honolulu ( thinking about all those beach businesses that I could franchise) ...not a good move, I know. But my real location in mid-Missouri is even worse. Can't find any good businesses for coin. Would kind of like to buy Dominos pizza New York; or maybe a hi pop McDonalds. Just don't know if its worth the risk to franchise from a distant town, without knowing what pop will be on my town. Any suggestions? Not desperate, just looking for something to do in my downtime before tomorrow's big day.

I would be tempted to do a reinstall (with location services off) so you can reselect location then pick san Francisco (all star donuts, sushirito), new york (dominos, Nintendo world) or paris (quick, creperie, mixer bar). Then you can franchise the businesses you want for coins – not bucks.
If you are buying the businesses for low bucks with really low popularity (unless you are in airplane mode to franchise a business another player got from booyatopia pre-update) business are unlikely to grow much in popularity. Even if they have the same name as as a popular business (there are a few businesses out there with high/low duplicates)
Before you move, if you want to still Honolulu businesses , there are 2 honolulu high pop formerly booyatopia businesses. One is mai tai bar. I’m sure i can I’m track down someone that has them if you are interested.
Personally I don’t trust the businesses from mytown,ca. I have had two of them drop from really high popularity to 25 (walmart dropped from 70,000 and AMC theatres dropped from 33000) and never regained so I sold them.

• you bussiness earns 5% extra if someone franchises it with green buck. If someone franchises in coins you earn 20%. It does not matter if someone franchises you in bucks or coins, you earn the same percentages. The reason why you are getting 5 percent on one is because someone franchised it and deleted it or hasn't leveled it up yet. The reason you are getting 20 percent from the one that franchised you in coins, is because someone leveled the business up. Okay I never knew that I am still kinda new to this game

Earlier today I franchised Starbucks Coffee from Sol with a popularity of 332,380. It worked great until a few level ups. Now its saying that this business has a popularity of 30. I checked Sol's town again it is still shows over 300K popularity. When I create jobs it is still purple and dosn't cost anything for the jobs.
Any Ideas???

you've been hit by the popularity monster. The monster is brutal on the mytown,ca businesses. It drops the popularity for individual players.

I tried mytown,ca businesses twice - the walmart and amc theaters. 3 months apart and got hit by the monster both times. Sold them both. Had them for a while so I more than made what I paid for them at least. These businesses are most likely to be artificially high (someone at some point manipulated the popularity on them). I've had better luck with businesses with real addresses - they sometimes drop but nothing like the mytown,ca businesses.
Now I try to avoid any business with the mytown address. Even when I do franchises - I look for other businesses over 3500 first and will only do the mytown,ca businesses if the town doesn't have any other high pop businesses.

I tried searching but I didnt find anything....I had one person franchise me, then another....but now when I go click on the handshakes...I only see the first person that franchised me. Once the second person franchised me I went and gave them a gift...I hope that wasnt an insult and they took their franchise back. Help please

I'm no expert, so someone will jump in if they know more, but the answer is that no, a person cannot un-franchise you. Once they have franchised you, those coins or bucks are yours, no matter what they do with the business. So they might sell your business as soon as they have it, but you still keep your money.
I can't answer why the second handshake disappeared, except that maybe you had already collected the money? Does the franchisers name show in the list of franchisers when you click on the business's stats?
I'm hoping someone else has a magic answer for you!

Kiwi is right - the person probably deleted the business and that's why their town name isn't showing up on your franchise list (if that's what you mean by not showing up).

I have set my location to mytown,CA and cannot change it even after un then reinstalling the game, so I am pretty much stuck. But I have found that I can buy some San Francisco businesses with coins. Mytown,ca isn't a location. You're are playing in San Francisco. That can actually be a good thing because you show up as a local san francisco player so you can get local coin franchises on those businesses as well as buck franchises from the RHs. But if you want to go home after you have finished all the businesses you want then you should be able to go home by turning location services back on, hard closing the game. You might have to do a local check in to make the game remember where you are. And if you decide you want to go to paris or new york next then keep location services turned off, reinstall the game, pick a new city. Again you might have to do a local check-in to remind the game where you are.
