How many houses, check-ins, community buildings etc. has to be placed to get a puzzle piece? I keep doing it but nothing changes. There must be a certain number that gives the piece because I do have some but the ones left must take longer.

Oh no Leilani! I think Jean-Paul posted that as well. Have you just tried doing a hard close of the app? On another note, it's nice that when you place "main" items in the beach getaway, the foundation takes on the beach sand.

But what do you mean you keep doing it? Keep getting pieces? I've been getting them with building stuff, running errands, and a few checkins (just to see if I got any pieces by doing a check-in). I've bought a few houses and some community items, but those last few puzzle pieces remain. As I said, I'm thinking it takes more to clear them all. You don't get a puzzle piece by buying one house...or two. Same with the others. I'll try to see just how many it takes to get all pieces in a category.

If/When a collection is complete, I'm trying to get pictures posted (not just by me, but by all members). That will help. I think the harder puzzle pieces are going to stump us! Like the 25 meter restaurant check-in goal!!

Good question...I was wondering about that myself Anyone noticed a slight "pause" in the game when franchising? Every time I franchise someone, the game/music pauses for a nano second...it sounds like it's about to crash. It did crash a couple times yesterday but after doing a hard reset of my iPhone, the crashing went away. However, the pause is still there. Not that big of a deal but still rather annoying. There was an update on the appl that came out yesterday in the App store. It states- IMPROVED performance! (My butt!!) I did it on 1 device, will not do it on the other one. When I go to franchise, I get yet another (never mind the 1000 extra steps we have to go through) detour. This splash screen now pops up and takes time to load - each and every time!

Thx for the heads up...will not update from the App Store if not needed. Guess that "pause" I've been getting isn't that annoying after all .

Check out this thread: mytown2.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=tips&action=display&thread=966I haven't quite figured out how the puzzle pieces work yet. I have noticed a certain consistency with which puzzle pieces come from which things. When you get a puzzle piece, it represents a piece from a collection that you have not previously collected. For instance, the giant robot in the main city. The first time I got the remote control, it was a puzzle piece until it was deposited in my collection. After that, I was collecting specifically remote controls instead of puzzle pieces. Now, I am thinking that there is a rarity factor to the collections. The giant robot is the least rare collection for the main town and puzzle pieces for me, came from check-ins. The next least rare collection seems to be the City Lake collection. I could be wrong on the rarity of the collections. My basis for this is that I have gotten puzzle pieces from 2 different collections, while performing the same kinds of actions, like check-ins. I just get pieces for the second collection less frequently. Like I said, I could be wrong. It could be based completely on chance. But Booyah doesn't seem to program chance very well. I noticed this while the STW glitch still existed. When I was using the glitch and tje first wheel stops on bucks, the amount would immediately change in my personal bucks, if all 3 wheels were already intended to stop on bucks. Translation, each spin is decided as soon as you hit the spin button.

If you click on the needed puzzle pieces- it gives you "hints' on what to do. ie Hint: Build Community Buildings or Build Wonders etc.

How can we look at other peoples beach and lakes? At this point, we can not see other people's beach and lake properties, unless they post a pic.

Yawns...stretches...morning all! Woke up this morning, and thought hmmmmm - bikini for the beach? Hiking boots for the lake? Or am I heading to town? What a wonderful choice to have!
But I am still bitter and twisted that they took away Walter, and no, I am not over it yet!
I agree that the Collection jigsaws seem to require different numbers of items to gain the various pieces. Like the Boat Racing one wants me to build more community buildings. And the Pirate Ship one wants me to build houses (I am ignoring that one cause I don't want a pirate ship anyway).
I really do feel for those that aren't part of this forum - how on EARTH is any of this achievable for anyone with RH assistance and stacking experience?
I can't wait till we can see each other's Getaways!!!

I got the vineyard and I collected all the puzzle pieces by buying stock exchanges.

Speaking of bikini on the beach, I moved the wave pool to the beach expecting to have that trashy blonde in the red bikini, but instead the walrus came out! Moved it back to the main town, same thing, the walrus... I wonder where she has gone...
Gonna cook a sweet potato pie now...

I got the vineyard and I collected all the puzzle pieces by buying stock exchanges. I got most of the vineyard collection pieces by buying and selling the stock exchanges and the last puzzle piece with the intergalactic spaceport. Got the last puzzle piece of the perpetual motion machine collection with the medieval castle.

Is anyone else worried about what will happen when these two bears meet? Should I move the kids to save them?

Gotta couple of the collection reward items doing a bunch of check-ins. Also bought a mansion and my lake getaway magically let me in for free. Only problem is that I cant go ' back to the future' any more....as soon as I return to my town and tap the screen, the Booyah start up screen appears and tells me I need Internet connection. Anyone else have this problem yet? BIG loss in revenue for all. I Wow! If we don't have the benefit of snow globes, Notre Dames, and stock exchanges to compound our proceeds....and some other glitches are gone....and we can't visit each others' getaways.... Hope you tech people figure out some new tricks! I was just disappointed that we couldn't add more businesses inthe new lands. Suppose it just pretty much works like an annex on a different screen...except for the Internet, and moving items in and out of storage.
