Just to let those proboards app users know, there is an update in the apple store. From what I've been able to tell:
-It provides a much cleaner forum thread screen
-You can now add favorite threads (**edit: I originally thought this was for favorite members, either way I just noticed this)
-The PM option/visual is much cleaner as well
-You can add a signature (open advanced options) and it will post it inside your post. Your signature below your posts (setup through safari) will also show up when you post.
Didn't see an exalt option, yet. If anyone sees changes not listed, please add to the thread.

There're also more options now when you tap a post in the app, open more, and it'd let you report a post, copy post, copy URL...these weren't there before the update...and in advance options when writing post, you can now post URL link, image link and even map. These are new too. And I notice when replying u can just start writing in the bubble at the bottom, instead of hitting reply at the top. Oh, and in Option/setting, you can now enable GIF avatar so that those cool avatars from other member will show correctly. Before it wouldn't show up right with the animation. It's definitely more user friendly.

I haven't seen this option in a thread so if it is a duplicate sorry! The pic you want to post must be in your camera roll - I am using an iPhone - you don't need photobucket for this - how to do this is in post below --- ok - Be in the thread you want and tap on "Reply to topic" Tap on "Open advanced options" Tap on "Photo album" Tap on "Camera roll" Open camera roll Tap on pic you want to post Tap on - at bottom - "Upload to This Forum" - must tap on - this forum - words!! A choice of size comes up and to date I've chosen smaller and once it loads.... Tap on "Close advance options" Type message you want to go with pic Tap -- Send -- Your done ! I am using the pro boards app too. Pros seem to our way the cons vs using safari. I found when using safari, after I logged in, 1) it would never save my login info, 2) if a new page was opened, stil inside the forum, it showed me no longer logged in.
I would like to see signatures using the app. That would help me find yall's towns alot easier! And of course to be able to exalt. But viewing is WAY much easier with the app.

So true!!! I would love it if the proboard users would go into their proboard settings (it's at bottom just before you enter forum) and scroll down to signature and put their name and ID there - then it shows up like it does on Snibulls and my posts! It really saves the proboard users a lot of time looking up ID's on the webpage to be able to exalt would also be great!!! Raven 29067906 |
