FROM PHOTOBUCKET ON COMPUTER: Select the picture you want to post. Scroll over the picture and a header menu will appear on the picture. Scroll over "Resize" and choose the size you want. 320 x 240 is pretty good. (That's the size of the pic below). FROM PHOTOBUCKET APP ON iDevice: Tap "Settings" icon. Then tap "Image Size". This will set the default size of the picture when it uploads to Photobucket. Then select the size you want. 320 x 320 is good. It will keep the aspect ratio to correct scale. (These pictures are at the 320 x 320 setting). Then just copy the link in the "IMG Code" field and paste to the forum. The code will look like this:

Tried to post my early Truman Lake according to Ravens instructions. Have a fairly new model iPad. ( Had saved some screenshots a week or so ago.....just learned that on the forum)
Clicked Post reply Then clicked Attachment Chose Camera Roll Clicked the picture (Didn't have an advanced options choice) Got an error message saying the file was too large. Knew it looked too easy, but don't have photo bucket and don't know how to compress a file??? Any ideas that are for dummy's? :Pm

Hi jhii - my last iPhone upgrade offered cropping and constrain feature - If your device is new I would think you would have it too - it isn't in advanced features - when you go to camera roll and tap on individual pic do you see edit in top right corner? Sheesh! I'll post a pic ASAP when my photo option turned back up in my proboard app!

The constrain field allows you to choose different sizes - then you save your changes - which is at top right. I have a few more shots if you need them - Attachments:

How do I change my pictures from my iPod to jpg so I can post pictures here Open your photo in any photo editor program (on Windows it might work with Paint too). Then File>Save as - and chose the .jpg extention Done! Sometimes it works only to change the extention of the photo from .png to .jpg (on Windows)

I find it a lot easier to do the photos from my laptop so I always use the web based version of photobucket - not the app. I hook up my mini or ipod to my laptop using the connector cable then upload the photos. I'm assuming you can do the same thing with an iphone. Once its connected to the laptop it is just like usb key. Do some editing and resizing then grab the link to post. There are a few other free photo editing websites but I haven't tried them out ie. fotoflexer. I have a heck of a time getting what I want when I try cutting and pasting on the ipad and ipod - so used to my right clicks.

Playing with an app called snapbucket (android and iPhone) version of photobucket - and is Free! I was able to upload and get a URL from pics in camera roll! But when I pasted URL in between..... - Look above in the menu, 2nd row, fourth button, it looks like a scenery. If you hover your cursor over it, it will say "Insert Image" - Click it. You should get this ---> [/img] <--- (No spaces; shown here with spaces to make it appear here) .... Pic didnt show up! Still working on it
