I got the 4 hour jobs to work by changing time in one hour increments instead do two. It works great just do not forget to change back to auto set before collecting or rents will be messed up. Now if I could just figure out how to get bucks

I just found that if you go back in time one month (actually easier to do on an iPad than going back 2 days), when you come back to today's date it gives you a reward of a 2x experience boost for 24 hours for "coming back".

This is great! And here is another tip to get you closer to being extremely lazy.

So, airplane mode on.
Instead of going back one hour, set time back a whole year.
Then, set all jobs to the longest shift(4 hr or 10 hr). Go out and forward one day and go back to the game to collect $$$.
Assign jobs. Then forward one day and collect $$$.
And
Repeat...
Now that you set back for one year, you can repeat 365 times without adjusting time backwards. Of course you can also set time back for any other periods.


In order to make this trick work for house rents, you want to forward one hour and go back to the game to make sure all house coins poped out (do not collect). Then continue with the above steps.


The only drawback is that the spin to win window pops up every time when I go back to collect coins. It could be due to that I have free spins sitting around, or that I did not play the game during the early days of the past year.


For those screwed up during the process.
First, stay calm. And here is the solution.
Say, if you set 4 hr shift at the current time, check-in the business to get double speed and forward time (forward 2 hrs uauslly). Set time to the current. Repeat check-in one more time and jobs are done!

I have tried this with the 4 hour jobs as well, but when you set the time that far forward mt2 requires an Internet connection and will not reopen until you turn airplane mode off.

If when you go back to your town you get the message saying that it cannot connect to the Internet, make sure you go back to settings and turn auto date/time on before you turn airplane mode off otherwise your businesses may take longer to finish than what they should have in the first place.

Don't know if anyone already posted this but it's easy
1. Open mytown2 stay in your town
2. Double tap home button and go to settings
3. Turn airplane mode on
4. Set you time back 4 Hours
5. Double tap and open my town 2.
6. Set your jobs for 4 hours
7. Double tap back to settings
8. Turn your time back to set automatically
9. Double tap back to MyTown2 and
collect
10. Repeat steps 4-9

Stay in airplane mode the whole time

It's alot quicker if you have Mt Fuji and The Intenet Wonder

You don't need Mt. Fuji to collect from businesses. Just use the Internet wonder, click what new job you would like and it will 'pop' the coin bubbles for the done businesses. The coins take the usual couple of seconds to drift up to the bank, but you don't have to shake your device, one less step.

I found this; I have no clue how, but here's what you do.
1. close out of Mytown 2 in multitasking.
2. go in settings.
3. hit the general button.
4. hit date and time.
5. turn off set automatically
6. type in Nuku'alofa, Tonga.
7. exit out of settings.
8. go in Mytown2.
9. there could be new items or you can get ahead in daily lottery.
Try it! I skipped ahead today, and they added a lot of items that go with Mt. Fuji.

Ahah, I just bought my Mt Fuji few days back, didn't know that Internet does that mass collection~ Hahaha.. But nevermind, I am not in a rush to use the Internet yet as I have lesser time to keep doing the jobs now.. Just pop in once in awhile with free Wifi at Starbucks and make a shake for the mass coinage with my houses~ ;D

I followed this exactly on the iPad 3 and it worked beautifully. One change I made was that I set my businesses for 4 hours. I changed the time in one hour/one minute increments and collected my rents for each hour. After doing this 4 times, my jobs were complete. This saved me from having to go back and turn the airplane mode on and off so often. Since I have 6 Notre Dames, I am collecting decent rents and was able to get over a million coins in just a few minutes! Thanks for the tip!
