I'm a little confused, I wish I knew what the criteria was.. For example, I want the Winery, it says to build wonders, which I have been, for some reason I keep getting Wine Bottles and have only gotten 1 wine glass, I already have a lot of the wonders, and even built some that I didn't really want, like the Fashion Show, Circus, Pyramids, and 2 malls, (all in storage) As of now I have 9 Wine bottles and 1 Wine glass. I wish I knew the "secret"... it is all just random. I kept buying/deleting a bunch of mega malls and I think Kelly said she did the internet. It's just buy, delete/store, buy, delete/store, over and over again. The advantage is for someone starting fresh, without a lot of items in their town to begin with.

Hm. If I were new at this, and had limited bucks/coins, I'd be kind of TO'd if I got another of the same puzzle piece from building some expensive Wonder like Fuji...but I can also see why they'd make it random. Not everyone likes all the Wonders, so there are some they won't want to spend bucks on...so it would also irritate to have to do so just to get a single puzzle piece.

I needed to build up my coins so i can buy all the expansions so i built stock exchanges over and over. I now have enough pieces to build 10 wineries.

To be honest, I came to this topic expecting useful stats about each collection: Population bonus, tile size, special bonuses, etc.
The Luxury Suites, for example, function like housing (if horribly inefficient housing for the tile space they take up). I think it was 114c/hour?
Include sell value in the stats too, I should think. I've placed and sold the Giant Robot for 678 (by my memory) coins dozens of times, since those puzzle pieces pile up so quickly, and since it's an instant build. Place, sell, place, sell, place, sell...

No. I just have the equestrian circle, city lake, winery and luxury suite collections.
Doesn't look they changed the getaway collections
Had several waiting to trade (not that I wanted them) and they are gone too.

That's disappointing you lost those sitting in trade status Just an FYI- I haven't "updated" and I still have the giant robot. I did update that collection item in the previous page to say it's been discontinued. Sni

But that number in decorations doesn't match how many I had waiting to trade. I do a lot check-ins. Doesn't really matter to me. I didn't like the robots anyway so I don't mind that they are gone. The collections I like are all still there. And I had seen a lot of players complaining about the robot bits. I can still fill my getaways with scuba divers , wineries and steamships.

The robot and the perpetual motion machine are gone from my collection. I did not even have all the pieces to the machine.

Ok now, how unfair is the trade value of bucks? 20 bucks=1600 coins? Like it isn't hard enough to come across bucks. What do you think about it?

Hey guys, So what I've noticed from my own experience is that for the collection sets that require check-ins, I got the harder-to-get pieces by checking into businesses that didn't have any extra bonuses besides the 2x coins boost. Cause I normally tend to check into businesses that offered extra bonuses (globe thing, shoe, coffee, lipstick, tie, glasses, etc etc) to get the most outta those exp points and they would always give the same collection pieces -.- and not the ones I was missing. But when I checked into businesses that only had the 2x coins boost, I managed to get a few of the OTHER pieces to complete the collections! This may be just a mere coincidence, but it worked for me! So it's worth the try...err tries...lol hope this helps some of you!

Looking for ideas on completing a couple of collections. Still need 2 pieces for the scuba divers, and have placed and sold lots of wonders. Same thing with the Steamboat....I have bought at least 3 of every lake housing item and still can't get the last piece. So are the pieces for the collections all totally random, or is there a method? Also haven't been able to get a winery. About how many tries has it taken you other folks to get a 'last' piece?

It does appear to be random to be honest. I've been fortunate with the Winery's, as in total I have collected about 6 of these, and they add around 78000 population, so certainly handy to have. I did go Stock Exchange crazy to start with, so managed to get them that way, but there always seem to be one item that you are awarded a lot less than the others. Other items though I've never unlocked still.

Aaaargh! I got obsessed today and spent all my time and way too many bucks trying to 'win' the stupid Steamboat! Think I've bought hundreds of houses and houseboats but still lack the next-to-last piece. Do have 43 City Lakes! Have no idea why. Missed trading the ones that were discontinued, though. Did finally get the Dive Boat, but no Winery. Any ideas from the experts, or should I just retire to the Tiki Bar and cry in my beer??? (It's REALLY a dumb thing to try to get those precious images....especially when my Getaways have come to resemble my basement... and no company is coming to see them. )
