I assumed that meant they did not have a level 10 biz. I wonder how it decides to attach gifts. Very convenient, tho. |

Since I did the newest update I cannot tell if anybody is getting my gift. It is not giving me xp's but is deleting one by one the gifts I have to give, so I'm not sure.
As soon as I can I will gift more. How can some give more than one dollar? Also how do I know what people want? I give $'s cause that is mostly what I need. But will accept anything 😉
if this is not the right board let me know. I posted here because of the update.

Ams - that pop up thank you only started coming up when I started accepting gifts individually in the list - I had to scroll down and that persons name appeared in another list below with the thank you options! If you hit a group accept - before you deal with each group- I lost the whole previous bunch so don't know now who sent them!!!! Raven 29067906 Okay- got it now. For those of you who are "visual"- here is a pic. I used- Happy AnnsyToMe. He sent me a gift. I accepted it and then scrolled down to the bottom of the list, and there it is. An option to let me send a Thank You. Interesting that it sends a "check in" as the thank you, since most of us do not use it!! But a thank you is a thank you!!!  |

Thanks, Mimi 30947969 There is a thread in general for thank you's The xp you receive was not really assurance that the other person received your gift. But now, the other person can send you a thank you checkin for your gift. How you know who it came from, I don't know - yet. So that is an improvement because the thank you will tell you they got it. The problem is that the thank you removes the sender from the list and the list doesn't give you the option of visiting. So, if they are not already on your friends list, they are gone unless they visit again. Unless I am missing something. If you have many friends already, you don't always know who is on that list. Or a mayor might change their town name. If you want to earn xp with a gift, I suggest visiting the town rather than using this new social menu. There are only so many ways to earn xp, so it is something to consider. Overall, I think it is an improvement, but you need to be aware of the drawbacks also. This weekend, gifts are worth $2. I guess it will go back to $1 on Monday. You usually have to guess unless the mayor gives a clue in their name. If they are at level 75, xp doesn't matter. You can look at revenue under their stats, but it's only a clue. They may have spent what they earned. Most mayors will leave a level 10 biz at the very top of their town for $ gifts. If it is something else, I might take that as a clue. People who have land left to clear may be looking for coin. If they are not at a high level and don't have many biz, they may need population. But must people are just happy that you take the time to visit them, so I wouldn't worry too much. |

If you put something in storage does it take away from your town's stats? For example if you move a stock exchange to storage do you lose the coin boost? Or do you lose population if you move a community building to storage? I've been too lazy to check.

And if you put a biz in there, I assume you lose the revenue, but do you lose the pop in your town score? Someone with one of those 100 million pop biz want to try that out? Franchising and selling biz like crazy seems to improve rank in game center. What happens if you keep moving it back and forth? And does it still count against the max number of biz? |

Sent from my iPhone using ProBoards I just moved Big Ben in the storage area and lost the 10% bonus. I then put a police station in there and also lost the population. I put Plane Image (a biz) in the storage and lost the 'popularity' on the stats page. So, stats are based off of what is actually "live" in a town. Edit- and when I went to "place" Plane Image back into the town, I accidentally sold it instead. Ooops  Snibull 30719277 |

I am on facebook (well I have an account, not that I use it) and this would post right on my wall. I guess it is not bad advertising for at least our forum.  |

Thx Amstel, the goals list clipboard came back with the recent update...for me at least. Apparently not everyone has it. I just created a twitter account and tweeted 4 accomplishments but nothing happened. It might be linked to Facebook. If it is, that's a bad assumption on Booyah's part. Not everyone is on facebook in this day and age  . |

I am so tickled with the STORAGE shed. It's about time. Good job Booyah. Thaniks for listenting, finally to us.
I am just now trying to do the gifts under the Booyah, tag. I am going thru them, slowly......checking them out..
Just sitting and reading thru this thread.
Now, when our storage is full, maybe the next step will be we might be able to auction off what we have to much of/ dont want and be able to get stuff from others.......Just a thought for the day.......Later.
