I can't keep up with Bret's pace so I'm not even going to try. He's gaining on me fast. Was doing really well until I hit the mid 20s then faced a bit of coin crunch. A few new additions helped a bit and things are moving again. Getting a nice collection (just getting a bit crowded now - need a few more bucks before I can expand again). Really don't like spending real money on apps so I'm trying really hard to avoid it. Got a little wish list going on buildings I want when I get high enough/have enough money.
I love that Wedding Palace that I see in Wonderland's town but I'm guessing that was a special offer because I don't see it in the store
Have noticed that the facebook and the device app don't sync very well. There are tasks on the facebook version (ie. the greenhouse) that I don't have on my device app.

Ha I have the green house on my iPod. Let me know if my town ever updates. I still gift my normal people but that's it for now. I use to take care of a lot of people on Facebook but a can't see the requests anymore on my phone since the last Facebook update

What does it mean if someone wants to look for artifacts in your town? And does it cost a letter to answer? I'm going to keep track of what does and doesn't

Just got my daily gift and gifts from the "3 stooges". Even better my "letters" number was back at 30 - I was down to 2. Happiness is more letters!  Now just have to figure out what messages that you respond to depletes the number of letters. |

I tried the game. I know it's already been said, but I wish it was more like MT2 with better graphics and new features. I'm all for a challenge, but MT2 is already consumed most of my down time. ... My girlfriend hates it! Hahahaha

Bret- people requesting to look for things in your town or invite you to a soccer event, etc., helps them complete achievements or finish building items. It doesn't cost you anything except a letter. Susie- Did you have 2 remaining and it went back up to 30, and did not add 30 to your existing 2? After keeping watch on it today, I think anytime you do anything in that letter area, you get charged a letter. Which stinks because with as many facebook friends as we are getting, we get lots of letters. So, I am going to try and pick and choose, then before the clock resets use up the rest if anything is left. So I plan on saving them to accept neighbor requests and to help people with tasks like going to a soccer match or letting someone search for artifacts. I will only send thank yous to my forum friends, since you guys are my priority. I will wait to accept anything else until before the clock resets. Unfortunately by limiting the number of letters, we end up losing some of the xp and coins we get by taking rewards and accepting the surprise. Unless one of us thinks of a better plan or figures out specific acts that don't take letters. I did discover that inviting neighbors does not affect the letter count. |

So why does skipping towns count towards the 8 invites? I tried 2 days in a row inviting some by the facebook app and tried skipping the lower level towns/towns that didn't look like they were being worked on. I only actually invited 2 but my count was used up anyway.

Didn't pay much attention to the number of letters I had and was accepting all the messages - guess I just didn't get close to running out till today and they just must have been replenishing each day. And with our discussions started paying more attention to them. mcphilp - just upped my number to 30, so guess I lost the 2 I didn't use. I came to same conclusions about letters as you did - seems whatever you do costs a letter. Like you I give priority to our forum friends, even when giving gifts I make sure I hit up our forum group before I do the others. Like your plan of action! will follow suit. |

Thanks Wonderland. That is one I will be really tempted by if I get offered it.
Think I'm going to have to stop viewing the game on facebook as well. I'm getting up pop-up messages now saying that there are sync problems.
Geez, those city hall wages are a tease. Get excited see everything being collected then the money runs out. Didn't last very long - not even a few hours.

And speaking of edward, wonder if cat and susie have develop a crush on him already? He's a bit scary reminds me of a terror prof back in college! Not my type but just wondering if hes cat or susie's type..  And just fyi cat, susie is 1 level ahead of you which means 1 lvl nearing edward!!!!  Lucky con! He doesnt have to share alice with anyone unless bret has his eye on her too then he is in big trouble!  Im pro mike, i think he's cute! Im worried i will have to fight with mcphilp and fleetwood over him...  Look at this!   LOL, Won! So, you think I might like Edward because he's older??? What's up with that? Is my age showing? Susie, you must be old like me too! ;D But getting back to Edward, yes, he does look a bit like a vampire. I think he must be the grown up (OLD!) version of Edward Cullen. So... I guess I would take Edward over Mike, since Mike looks like he is still a hard-working construction worker, and Edward looks like he is pretty well set.  Good luck in your fight with the other girls over Macho Mike! By the way, I like that Aston Wedding Palace too! I caved and paid MB for the Capitol. Susie, since you are a level ahead of me, could you please warn me what will be offered at the next level-ups? I have never run out of letters yet, so I have not been paying close attention to them until the discussion started here. I do not play the game on Facebook through my computer. I haven't friended any players that I don't "know" through this forum. If MT2 ever gets any new and/or exciting items, I will probably spend less time on Megapolis. For now though, it's an entertaining diversion. |

I thought yesterday I invited a few Facebook neighbors and I didn't lose any letters, but maybe I missed it. I missed the deal on Wedding Palace, or it was never offered. I may have to cave and use some Megabucks. Wonderland your town looks great! You have so many cool buildings. I am envious. And as for Mike....  I think he is two timing us as he shows up next to you on my friends list!! The Three Stooges were good to me too yesterday. Maybe one of them poked the other's eye or hit him with a shovel so they weren't able to coordinate a plan to annoy us. I also tried to add one item from every project I am doing, and maybe that fooled them. Who knows.  They are tricky and unpredictable. Catinex I have been adding random facebook friends. I was very hesitant at first, but Kon swayed me, and since my page is only for games, I figured it would be ok. It has been working well. I have picked up quite a few that are active and it has been helping with getting the projects done. I have been careful though. One guy posted that he was in prison (not sure if it was real prison of Facebook prison), but I steered clear of that one! And I friended another girl, who after she accepted my request, her newsfeed showed up on my home page and she had very suggestive pictures posted. So, I gasped!! and hid all her posts from my home page. She is an active player though, so I kept her on. But, now I take a quick peek at the person's actual Facebook page before I send the friend request. Lol. ;D |

Yes, that happened to me as well. Your buddy count will reset sometime during the day. I'm not sure it is on the same 24 hr schedule. I have maxed out my buddy list. And I can't delete inactive players. I have 2 maybe 3 buddies that play. The facebook friend thing has been working much better. But, you have to feel comfortable friending people you don't know. And saying you do know them if Facebook asks. Otherwise they put that person in Facebook jail for a period of time. Maybe 30 days? And I don't think they can friend anyone during that time. Not sure of the specifics, I am just gleaming info I read on the Megapolis Facebook page. |

So if i don't do anything besides the letters tonight will I have everyone(ie kon and Susie) in the morning still and then alsways in the morning? I'm trying to get to the point where I do everyone at once vice all during the day?
I'm starting back to college next week so ill be busy as hell.

You can get everyone on the same 24 hour circuit, but you will have to miss some people for a day to catch them up. I am in the same place, and would like to get everyone visited and gifted at the same time. And I did not do much with letters all day. Just accepted friend requests, which count, and job assingments, which count. So I had 10 letters left to send and I wanted to use them so I didn't lose them when the game updates everything. I sent about 25 Thank you's and I did not get charged one letter. I still had 10 when I was done. I didn't accept any gifts today or claim any rewards. So, I don't know if those truly count or not as a letter. |

Busy day on the forum today. Just checking in, had a busy day in the "real world" today, Cat, Edward is all yours, no interest there for me! Got to level 38 - $1 for the park with metal sphere offered. For coins: Villa Colani, Sky Arch and St. Basil's Cathedral I have had good luck adding actiive players from FB into my game account. I go to Megapolis FB page and find people that say they are daily players. Liked mcphilip's idea about checking out their page. I have been lucky with gifts from the "3 stooges" - apply to projects - knock on wood, it will continue! Well, lost 13 letters today before the new letters were offered, just got the 30 new ones. Was going to try and use the 13 up, but unable to get to them before the daily change over. Will try to due better tomorrow and use them all up nowbthatbwe know we get more. Hi, Wonderland! |

Ok. So the decrease in letters are not from the thank you we sent out to the one's who gifted us but rather by accepting the rewards accompanying the thank you's from those who thanked us.. Omg! I hope I make sense! ;D Oh hi Susieq! ;D I've missed our hi's! It Started on food fights and countdown right? I should say hi to you more often here. Haven't been to food fight lately.. Now to Edward! ;D ;D ;D Susie, Edward not your type huh? Would you rather go for mike instead? Since I'm having doubts on mike's .... " faithfulness" ;D We can switch... ;D But I must warn you .. He's not as rich as Edward ( thanks to cat for pointing that out) and he's a two timer too!!!  So you will have to deal with Mcphilp on that one... Hey cat! Are you up for sharing Edward with me or you'd rather have his money all for yourself? I don't mind if he's old as long as he's loaded/rich .. And besides I want to be Bella too! I hope you share... And I hope I don't get a warning for this! Good thing raven isn't playing. ;D |

and whatever is left i used for helping.. Not a good point since im losing xp and coins by not able to help everybody on my list in 1 day. But ive been doing that eversince. I make a list of the people ive helped and do an every other day answer for their request.. In that way i managed to atleast help everyone.. 
wonder if they have read my ranting about it the other day.
