[Chilli Town]

Greetings!

I am just curious if anyone else is experiencing what has happened to me. This morning when I logged on my jobs had all finished from overnight and all was good. I began leveling up some of my businesses and all seemed fine. When I finished with my 3 minute jobs I let them all do a 30 minute time frame. When I came back to check them everything had reverted back to when the overnight jobs had completed. I did this several times and it reverted back each time. It seems to be doing fine now but unfortunately I lost some of my gifts and franchise bucks. Thanks so much Candyland you are the BEST!! I also had my gifts reset back each time so I got to gift again, not sure if the people I gifted benefited 3 or 4 times but I can only hope as that would be the only good thing coming out of this. Anyway just curious if anyone else was having problems this morning.

Again I would like to thank everyone on this forum for all your help and valuable information. I have learned so much and this has made the game much more enjoyable for me.

chilitown: I've experienced similar losses like yours.
This has caused me to save a lot more often.

I am using a 4thGen iPod:
After collecting coins, gifts, and franchises, I exit the app.
I then double press the Home button, and with all the apps 'jittering' and showing red minus signs, I tap MT2 to shut it completely.

I also use iTunes to back up the game, often, on my computer.

Good to see a lot of new members, and the forums kicking lively. I wanted to say I have been enjoying browsing people's towns and seeing if there's anything news. Just wanted to say hi and keep up the fun activity on this forums I enjoy reading them.

Does anyone know how to play the game while your music is running in the background?

I turned off all sounds and it still stops my music every time i enter the game.


Whats the big hype with Candy Land and why is everyone thanking her so much lol? Is she franchising?

You know, I thought I'd love the 'shake to collect' thing with mt Fuji.... But I found that I had to shake my iPad so violently that it was just not worth it.

I'm glad I don't really want it. And I'm glad booyah gave us the trial. I know it was to lure us in... To get us to spend our real money to buy bucks to get it, especially since they capped franchising buck awards.

And I too have thought about what yarn goddess said about supporting a free app... I have spent real money on this game. And I do believe what she said. It's a free app... They should make money somehow and we love the game, we should support it somehow etc. I also believe that the player/customer support should be a bit stronger. While others have had a good showing, I have not. I was locked out at 'loading' for over two weeks with not so much as a "sorry" from booyah after two emails from me, just short 'yeah we know' responses and nothing more. I think they lack communication skills, we should know when to expect land etc, these crappy updates suck.

Anyway... I'd like to hope, with others we'll get land and levels today. But while Leap Day miracles may exist ....that is probably not going to be one of them.

I want to thank cAndy Land & Pekman for franchising my daughter's town. She is only 9, so I'm not letting her join the boards, but I can't tell u how happy she will be when she comes home. (I harvest for her while she's at school) but she picks what buildings she wants etc.)

Anyway, back to my thank u
They didn't even know who she was & I hadn't yet posted here asking!

I can only imagine how many times (& I know many others!!!) respond to out of the goodness of their hearts.

aw5678: After two days of shaking, I mostly decided against Mt. Fuji. I like the look, but the cost and the shaking; I can't say I like the image THAT much. lol. But I've received several franchises *bowing and thanking those folksl* that I started to edge closer to buying it.
I'm such a pushover--when I hear "limited", that just spurs me on.
And now reading your post, I'm back to 'no'. I'm so wishy-washy.

Customer Service: I am sorry that Booyah wasn't more attentive to you. I've heard both good and bad. Maybe it depended on how frazzled the person who responded to you was, that day.

Not that this affects your MT2 situation, but dealing with most RL bureaucracy--it's no wonder people go postal. Most people with tenure or guaranteed employment need a good hit on the head. Gov't offices are the absolute worse and anyone that has any smarts, good manners or consideration for the common citizen needing help is a rare person indeed. I guess what I'm saying is nowadays, it is tough for anyone needing help. All we can do is hope for the best. A sad commentary on the people of today. *getting off my soapbox*

I'd buy fuji if it was cheap and just for looks but I don't like the effect, that shaking and freezing of the screen reminds me of the way my Rock the Vegas city was wiped out in front of my eyes, no thanks.

Im not even that interested in the other wonders, I like the little community buildings.

I wrote a list of those who sent me gifts and every night I send some back and cross off the names. I sent a cAndyland a population gift to thank them for the franchise and they franchised me again. Aargh! Thank you very much but I think I owe you some population gifts.

I also had funky town franchise for coins which is nice because Im rolling in thousands rather than millions and billions. I just wished they gave us more gifts, even if we had to buy them. I'm struggling to catch up and when I get a notification 'another mayor has helped your town' I'm almost frightened to look. I love getting gifts and franchises but I just wish we could repay the favour at will. Did they restrict the gifts so we couldn't gift too many dollars to friends?

Licat, about real-life-business being rough and people just kind of being quick tempered and people going postal and such: totally. You are so right. perhaps I'm looking at things wrong/there's a better way to see it. and I'm a sucker for limited time only stuff too.

As for cAndyland.... When he franchises me, I send him a thank you gift... And he franchises me again, too! It's a cycle of 'franchise-thanks-franchise-thanks-franchise-thanks...'. what a sweet deal! I seriously owe him 49% ownership of my town. Or at least a monument in my central park. Thank you again (or still) cAndyland!!!

I'm so sorry that you're having a hard time with Booyah. I guess I was lucky in my dealings with them.

Thank you also for your support. While I still believe in what I said, I also think things are overpriced (like Mt. Fuji). I also don't like a lot of what is occurring with the game re things like restrictions. I think Booyah needs to take a hard look at their customer base and take our feelings into consideration. While I realize it's difficult to implement new code sometimes (I'm watching the guru rewrite an enormous piece of code integral to his company's operation right now), they have people employed to do just that. If they're not lurking our board, they should be.

If others are having CS problems, then a letter-writing campaign will likely not work. However, I know some folks feel strongly about doing something, so perhaps that would merit some consideration.

cAndyland is actually a lovely person named Andy who goes out of his way to help as many people as he can by franchising their businesses. All he asks in return is to be gifted with population.

As for your signature, click on your name. That will take you to a profile page. At the top of the box, you'll see "Modify Profile". Click on that and scroll down. You'll come to a signature box where you can type in whatever signature you want. Save it (button at the bottom of the screen), and it will appear every time you post.
