Best thing for you to do to start earning more is to franchise some higher pop (greater than 3500 popularity) businesses. Looks like you are located in CA. Check out this thread:

As for leveling up- doing jobs, checkins, etc... Will help but it's going to take time. I remember it took me 4 months to reach level 50 and a few more to get to 75. Be sure to read the guide located in this thread:

Since you have 1 stock exchange giving you 20% more on office skins, you could change all your businesses to office skins to get the bonus.

I just started playing this. I like making my own town but I really don't think I have any idea what I'm doing. I'm just kinda buying stuff and checking in places. I don't know what stuff means and it seems like I'm not playing it correctly. Lol if that's possible. Can someone please take a look a my town and tell me what to do ?? Ha any help would be great !!! Does anyone have any tips or suggestions for a newbie on businesses that will be become popular? The already high pop businesses are way outside my price range and I'm wondering how to determine what might be a business on the rise.

I was thinking since Google and Facebook are popular maybe Youtube or Amazon.com might become popular. I noticed when I searched them before they were not in the business engine search but after latest update they are now showing up.

Any thoughts?

That is a tricky one to answer. Some of the most popular businesses in the game are not the most known companies in real life. Some of them have been popular because they were easily available in the earlier stages of the game b/c they were initially available from the booyah test and sample towns. Since then they have been franchised a lot and had a lot of check-ins. Who knew an airport in the Netherlands would have a popularity of 178 000 or a closed down restaurant in Paris?

To make a new business popular there would have to get a lot of players checking into it and franchising it. Think you are better starting with a business that at least has some popularity then starting at almost zero b/c you want players to franchise it from you.

Guess if anything then major landmarks/ tourist destinations/cultural icons (ie. famous museums/ theaters), the head offices of major chains would have a good chance. So maybe amazon might take off but since it just appeared then it is starting at zero. And where the majority of players are going to look for businesses.

If you can then franchise rather than go through the business search then any business within 200 miles of you is available for coins. And if you turn location services off then you can change cities and move to NYC or SF to get those businesses for coins.

I tried turning off location services but it still picks up my location. I saw a thread were some have deleted the game and reinstalled with location services off. Don't have the courage to do that one. Thanks again for the info it really helped.

Having a super hard time waiting to get to that 1.5 billion before I can start on my town. tired of looking at all the stock exchanges. Ugh. I know it will be worth it, but patience is hard. I am at 116,000,000 right now. Just 1,384,000,000 to go. Eeek! How long will that take?

Lol gdsjoy - there really isn't a magic number you have to reach! You could clear your getaways - hide your stock exchanges there - go for a variety of high rent housing and a few pretty notre dames and decorate your town a wee bit sooner than 1.5 bil!!!!

Might take longer but is there really a big hurry ?? Just another way! Have fun whichever way you go

So the stock exchanges work at the lake and beach? Hmmmmmm. Well, I may play around with that, but first I will might draw out my dream town. Then can start slowly working on it, I guess.
Have gotten 16,000,000 closer since my last post. Hubby won't let me go crazy like that tomorrow, though. hehehe

Okay, working hard, have the iPad with me everywhere and trying to keep tapping it every 3 minutes. Up to 422,779,680 coins! Crazy goal is to have it up to a 1B by Friday so that I can have fun building my town Friday night.
I have had so much help with the bucks. I have to thank all:
Brett, Recall, Konstantien, VlZleRo's Town, Heilbronx, fleetwood, Paul's town, Chilli Town, Ams SuperBowl, Amstel Bear Hugs, and Jungle. There may be more who helped, these are the people I could find when I looked at the franchises on the main businesses. So thank you all. I have just over 1,000 bucks left after upgrading and such. So when I build I will run out fast. But I have no right to ask for any more help. Ya'll have been more than awesome. Thank you so much.

So saved up to almost a billion before I decorated my town. Have not dropped below 830,000,000! So helping others by franchising with coins...for those that need it. But for me, I would say you probably don't need to save up so much in coins before started to decor town.

Hang onto a little bit for yourself. You may go through multiple redecorations. And if they do add more land or getaways then you will need some of that money.

Second, I agree with you. If you notice my town, it actually makes sense. I like everything to be neat and orderly as if I was building a real town. At any rate, I do have a question... I franchised one of yours using bucks, but I'm not getting bucks when I go through the jobs for that business. Am I incorrect in assuming this?

So this is my first time in a message board so, forgive me if I seem a little "green". I'm having trouble earning bucks quickly. I tried the "buy all your businesses with coins" trick, but I can't figure out how to change my location without deleting the game. When I try to delet the game it does not ask me to store my data. Any ideas?

Jobs for businesses are always coins. No matter how you paid for the business. You will only get bucks for that business if someone over 200 miles away from you franchises it.

Being franchised is the main source of bucks followed by gifting (once you have a level 10 businesess), spin n win, rewards that booyah gives for things like answering surveys, watching the videos, daily reward then random bucks for responding to citizen requests.

I've never been able to do a location change without deleting. But i do change on a regular basis. Some players are able to do it by just turning location services off, hard closing the game then doing a local check in. I wait 4 hours after being franchised, making changes, back-up to icloud then delete. First question is delete of its data and you press delete. And if you have a game center account then press 'keep' to the second question.
