Yes afraid we may miss booyahtopia site. Probably can't go franchise for a buck anymore either. Suppose we can visit from the social site that lists friends and neighbors. I haven't done anything yet. Afraid to get started. But I'm glad I'm a certified addict now instead of just a pain!

You can rename each of your getaways! "Tiki Bar" and "Watch out for bears!" fit Also, the stats page no longer shows your population. Just popularity, earnings, and Booyah ID.

You can name your new towns. Just go to the Getaway town, click on Stats at bottom right, and the pen icon is there to edit your town name. I now have Lake Kiwi and Kiwi Sands. Also, I know this new bear with its cute cubs looks all sweet and nice, but should the guy in the hammock be a bit worried?? Attachments:

It costs over 100,000,000 to buy all the available land and water sections. I had almost 2 billion from the days when I massed up wonders to gain coin. Nice to have something to spend the loot on, but not so great for those who have to earn the coins the hard way.
I burned through most of my bucks doing instant upgrades. I hope the RHs have plenty of energy to give us a hand.

Ok first, the 2nd Getaway costs 50,000 coins. Kiwi - my 2nd getaway cost 2,400,000 to unlock. Can anyone confirm the amount? Is it different for different players?!

If you upgrade... 1. You lose the spin to win glitch 2. You CANNOT go back to your original MT2. I deleted the upgrade and when I click the original icon, it forces me to the update. 3. Not sure in the daily reward. I will test and report back. make sure you have enough coins and bucks from the original before you upgrade. My free spins carried over. You can't go back to your original town if you upgrade?!!!! The town I spent forever to complete?! Katie - the new gateways will have 3 towns attached to it. Your town as it exists today, a beach, and a mountain. You will not "lose" your town... just not be able to go to the MT2 app to play it. You'll need to go to the new gateways to access your town.

Hmmmmm I am sure about the 50,000 for mine - I stopped to check cause I wanted to put it on here. The only thing I can think of is does it matter WHEN you unlock it in terms of clearing land in the 2nd one? What I mean is, I unlocked the 3rd one only about 1 or 2 pieces of land clearing into the 2nd one. Did the land cost stay in order? I look forward to hearing what others say. [Hubby said "did you tell them you are blonde? then they would cut you some slack". He's still recovering!] As for the bear chasing Derek - HAHA!! I can't think of a nicer man to chase

I can't think of a nicer man to chase Hmm, I don't think the land cost stays in order, because I cleared my first getaway completely before buying the second getaway. The cost for the second getaway was definitely in the 30-50,000 range. I remember thinking it was pretty cheap. Plus when I started clearing the second getaway the land cost started pretty low as well. The only explanation I can come up with, for such a high cost as Snibull's getaway, is maybe it's set to cost a percentage of your saved up coins? I had about 100mil saved up at the time. Maybe 130 mil. Edit: Snibull's getaway, originally said Zkiwi's.

I was thinking I was ripped off (well, I would still think that if I didn't have coins) for paying over 2M for the second gateway! The cost of the land thread has been updated to include the Getaways Cost of Land

The cost of the land thread has been updated to include the Getaways Cost of LandNo, I did actually mean to unlock it. Now I am questioning myself - did I hit the screen too quickly and misread the unlock cost? Not sure, and I defer to the experts. But I would be interested to hear others' experiences.

Hmmm... I had my paper handy to write down everything to post. Here are the factors: I have 18 billion coins, cleared all the beach land 1st, bought the 2nd gateway and cleared all that land. The prices were the same for both. Wonder if you start clearing land in one then go to the other and start clearing land if that makes a difference in the order (what Hoplite is suggesting). But, it doesn't help explain the cost of the 2nd expansion! Errrrg

I must admit this new getaway feature has renewed my interest in the game. Prior to its release, it was the same old gifting and franchising visitors to my town routine. Land was already maxed out and storage was useless for me. New items coming out on a weekly basis meant nothing without land to put them on and I'm not about to delete old items and reconfigure my town every time new items came out. The zoo items came out 2 wks ago and it's been sitting in the store ever since. New items + no space = no fun. But this update has changed all that! ;D. I can enjoy building my town again albeit at an entirely different location. It's nice to be able to see a new scenery instead of that one defined town we were so accustomed to looking at on a daily basis. Gonna take it slow and enjoy building my beach and lakeside getaways...absolutely no rush. The zoo items?? Thinking of sending them all off to the lake. I'll call it Lake Safari ;D. And the beach? Clothing's Optional Beach lol Wonder if Booyah will give us land expansion for the getaways in the future Hmmmm.....

So my first getaway was free and my second cost 2.4 million Mine is the same. I've only cleared 3 plots on the beach getaway, and the 2nd getaway now costs 2.4 million... It's like real life. That lake holiday is but a distant dream, until I have saved enough pennies...
