Does anyone know if snibull has upgraded ok yet? It's not the same forum without snibull's input...
Overall, I guess I am mildly pleased except that I would like to look at other's getaways....
Sorry for not posting earlier, but me and the boy were making Lego chickens.

So they were around to deal with issues today. I just updated. Everything transferred fine. Now I'm just trying to decide which getaway to do first. Studying Kechibam's photos b/c I think it's going to come down to which store items I like the most. 1/2 an hour until midnight in Fiji so I see if gift travelling still works. Update: I picked both but haven't started building yet. My housing income is definitely reduced. All my parked vehicles are messed-up so I'll have to try catching them again. Time zone jumping for gifting is still working!! |

So is this a regional release or an iOS issue? Some people are having troubles updating while others are fine. I updated last night when I saw Sardi's post in the main thread...downloaded "MT2: Getaways" from the App Store and everything was transferred to the new app without any problems. I'm located in San Francisco, CA and running on iOS 6. Sardi, how did u find out about "MT2: Getaways"? There was no mention of it anywhere. I'm not on Facebook. Was it mentioned there? Just curious |

Thanks for keeping us in the loop. +1 When I downloaded Getaways, I originally thought it was an entirely new game, much like MT Animals but was floored when it was an extension of MT2 itself. Did not see that coming at all. People were speculating oceanfront properties and the addition of water but most assumed it would be an expansion on our current towns. It's quite a pleasant surprise. It's Friday and Booyah usually release updates on Fridays so we'll see what the official word will be later in the day. |

Does anyone know yet whether we have any new residents or vehicles with our new products? I am thinking that the red bikini chick really needs to move to the beach but I would hate her to be alone over there! Since they have taken Walter off me (no, I am not over it), it would be nice to get a few new residents.
A tip: when you hit the plane button to bring up your three town options, if they have a little orange number on the town name, there are coins waiting to be picked up, so you need to go to that town to do it. The Mt Fuji shake will work on all 3 towns, but you need to be in the right one when you shake. You don't need a separate Mt Fuji in each town. Internet, on the other hand, needs to be in the same town. It doesn't work across towns.

Can someone please check to see if the snow globes still work AFTER the getaway download. I just started collecting big coin two days ago and if the snow globes don't work after the download, I'm going to wait until I have enough coin to do all the expansions.
Has anyone calculated total cost of doing all expansions? Inquiring minds want to know :-)

This forum migh t get confusing. I just got the install note from Booyah when I checked back in after being away for about an hour. It wasn't available in my game until now. It is installing as I type. I've been thinking of deleting and reinstalling my town in anticipation of a beach...now I'm afraid it might be too risky. Wanted to reset my hometown to Honolulu or someplace like that. Or do we get to pick a new location for our beach and lake towns?  |

I thought you would be able to visit the getaways through your normal town. Lol. I get confused at the best of times. This will drive me to drink! To be fair....it doesn't take much X |

You won't need the old icon, although I am not sure if it can be deleted - I haven't been brave enough to try! Edit: I got brave and deleted MT2 original. All fine, and my original town is still on Getaways. |
