Haha I'm loving this new update! There's so much to do! As Sardi mentioned earlier, there are a bunch of new goals...goals for the beach and goals for the lake. It's like playing 2 new games ;D. Having a fantastic time at the beach, enjoying the motion of the ocean. Won't be heading back to the city anytime soon lol

One obvious stupidity is the inability to visit other people's getaways with the design freaks here. I visited a few ppl I know have updated and unless it is a server issue, just the main town.. I can see a few ppl desperately spinning away now and it makes me laugh....

I think the second getaway cost was 30k coins. Can someone confirm that? I don't remember now.
Fuji does not collect from all 3 places simultaneously. And internet does not work across them either. You have to have a separate internet in each place.

How much does unlocking the second land cost? Haven't messed around with the lake getaway yet but the land costs for the beach getaway is the same as MT2. It goes up slowly but gets pricier as u approach the last piece of land. The last plot was around 4 million  . I'm assuming the lake getaway will be around the same. I sure hope they make sure that we can visit each other's getaway's. if not, I am definitely not going to put businesses in them. |

Cleared ALL my land in both new areas! You can also place items, such as roads from the main town in the new areas!

I did the opposite, I cleared the ocean area first and placed the kraken and sharks in there to see what the fuss was all about. Pretty impressed. It will be a struggle for newbies to make enough to clear all the land without the tricks in this forum. We're talking about the cost of clearing the original town x 3! I'm sure we'll be able to visit other towns' getaways later down the road...maybe in a future update. Booyah, being Booyah, probably didn't wanna give us too much, too soon. |

My residents are asking for things that aren't even in the store. Just had one ask for water skiing. There isn't one. This makes me think that there will ne a lot more items added very soon. Also we can have more than 36 businesses now. My population meter filled with blue again. It used to be empty. This is because we can now have businesses in the getaways. But if we can't visit other people's getaways, how do we franchise and gift those businesses. I think this update is still currently under construction for the public release.
If it was meant to be a true release, there would have been a notice on MT2 for us to download it. The MT2 app didn't tell me to update until I already downloaded mt2: getaways.

No new Fuji for each land. You just have to shake each land. And so far, the only STW item that I have been able to put in the getaways was a snow globe... or 6 to be exact, lol. The other "layaway" items... the decorations from the main town cannot be placed in the getaways. The only possibility is if it is something already offered in the getaway store. Like the Cabanas. |

Although, I have not yet tried to transfer items through storage, to the getaways. I will try right now and get back to everyone on that one.

You can transfer items using storage. So all of the unused unplaced decorations from STW can be placed in the getaways as long as you place them in your town first, then travel to your getaway, and take them out of storage. I just did this with a sniper tower as a test.
Also, and interesting tidbit that I just found out. Wonders from the main town also affect houses in the getaways, without being placed in the getaways. Not sure if the business altering wonders affect the getaways across all places, but they most likely do.
On another note. I am thinking they changed the compounding affect of snow globes, and possibly ND also. Maybe this is something that Snibull can test. It seems like my coin income from residential has gone down considerably since the update.

Ok first, the 2nd Getaway costs 50,000 coins. (Update: this figure could be wrong, and might actually be 2,400,000 - seems I might have been tapping too fast and actually seen a plot cost! My apologies to anyone I misled!) And the waterskiing thing happened to me too, but all you need to do is Dropbox from lake to beach in the Buy Now listings, and you can buy beach stuff for your lake. So I just added a skier to my lake. It's the same with housing, community items and decorations in the store - you can select any of your towns, but the items from each listing can be brought for the other towns. The maximum businesses is still 36 across all 3 towns. I decided to keep mine all in the one town to save getting another Internet. I will have more room there when I move a few things out. |
